The Reform UK Party, led by Nigel Farage and its new platform, has pledged to protect freedom of speech, ban “transgender ideologies” in schools and scrap diversity equity and inclusion policies.

The Reform UK Party was formed in 2021 and the Brexit Party in 2018. The party has gained steadily in popularity since its founding. A recent poll conducted ahead of the July 4th election showed that 16 percent of voters supported it, compared with 21 percent of Conservative Party voters and 41 percent of Labour Party voters.

The opening statement in the manifesto of the party, which they call “our contract with You,” states that multiculturalism has brought separate communities who reject our way to live. “Transgender indoctrination causes irreversible damage to children.”

The document promises to “ban transgender ideologies in primary and secondary school,” described as “a critical reform” that is needed within the first 100 day of the administration.

“No gender questioning, social transitioning or pronoun swapping. Inform parents about the life choices of their under-16-year-old children. The 25-page document states that schools must provide single sex facilities. Reform UK also says that history and social science curricula are being reviewed. “Any teaching about a British or European example of imperialism or slave trade must be paired up with a non-European instance of the same in order to ensure balance.”

Reform UK plans to introduce a comprehensive bill on free speech, reform the BBC (which is “institutionally bias”), and cut further funding for “universities which undermine free expression,” saying that “allowing political biased or cancelling culture must face severe financial penalties.”

Legislate to stop the left-wing bias, and political correctness that threatens freedom of expression and democracy. The document states: “No more de-banking or cancelling culture. Reform UK has pledged to review the Online Safety Bill. It states that social media giants who promote baseless transgender ideologies and divisive Critical Race Theory should not have any role in regulating freedom of speech. Reform UK is also planning to launch an investigation into the harmful effects of social media.

The manifesto condemns “woke policing,” and promises to “scrap Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DE&I), roles and regulations in order to stop “two-tier policing.” It also aims to build more than 10,000 detention centers, enforce mandatory lifetime sentences for serious violent crimes or repeat offenses, impose a life sentence for drug dealing and make child sex a aggravating crime.

Reform UK’s document states that the plan to “reaffirm British sovereignty” includes canceling membership at the World Health Organization, unless they reform their structure and funding. They also reject the World Economic Forum, leave the European Convention on Human Rights and repeal regulations from the European Union membership. The party is looking to replace the Equalities Act of 2010 and “scrap”, the diversity, equality, and inclusion policies which “have lowered standards, and reduced economic productivity”.

Reform UK announced that it would freeze all non-essential immigration. It will also deport foreign criminals as soon as they complete their prison sentences. International students who wish to bring dependents with them on a visa may be restricted.
