A new poll suggests that another member of the leftist “Squad” is in trouble. He faces a 23-point deficit and could be headed for defeat.

McLaughlin & Associates conducted a survey for the CCA Action Fund that showed Rep. Cori bush trailing St. Louis prosecuting lawyer Wesley Bell by 56% to 33% during the Democratic Primary on August 6, Missouri’s 1st Congressional District.

The rest of the 11% were either undecided, or supported lesser-known candidates Ron Harshaw and Maria Chappelle Nadal.

The latest sign of trouble for the liberal “Squad”, after New York Rep. Jamaal bowman was beaten by the moderate Westchester County executive George Latimer at a Democratic primary on June 25, in the 16th District stretching from Co-Op City, in the Bronx, to the leafy suburban areas of Westchester County.

Bowman is the first member to lose a primary in the Squad, which also includes New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D – Bronx/Queens).

The Israel-Hamas conflict has been a major issue in the Bowman/Latimer race and highlighted the differences between the candidates.

Bush, like Bowman has been a vocal critic of Israel’s war tactics in Gaza against Hamas.

Bell stated that he believes Israel has the right to defend itself, and he will target Hamas for their sneak attack on the Jewish State scheduled for October 7, 2023. Bell is supported by pro-Israel Democrats.

“Cori Bush wasted her time as a member of Congress by focusing on her own fame with ‘The Squad,’ while her constituents suffered,” said Pastor Marc Little. He is the spokesman for a Super Pac that opposes Bush.

This poll shows that St. Louis is looking for a representative who will protect America and champion the community, its safety and prosperity. Not someone like Cori Bush.

The survey revealed that registered Democrats view Bush favorably and negatively.

Only 46% of Democrats approve of her performance.

Bell, on the other hand, is seen favorably by 70% and unfavorably only by 18% of respondents.

Pollsters say that the high negative ratings for her tenure from fellow Democrats are a problem to Bush.

Between June 28 and July 1st, 300 likely Democratic voters were interviewed by phone and texted. The margin of error is plus or minus 5.7%.

A survey conducted in late November found that the race was tight — Bell led Bush by only one point, 43% to 42.2%. The margin of error for this poll was 12 percent. The Mellman Group conducted the poll for the Democratic Majority for Israel.

This poll also found Bell more popular than Bush and with a better job performance rating.

Mellman Group correctly predicted that Latimer will defeat Bowman by double-digits in April.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Democratic Majority of Israel (DMI) are spending money in an attempt to elect Bell, and to oust Bush.

AdImpact Politics reports that AIPAC’s Super Pac – the United Democracy Project – has spent more than $4.2 million.

Bush, like Bowman has his own baggage.

In January, she confirmed the Justice Department was investigating her campaign expenditures on security services. One of those security services employed a former guard that she married.

The Post contacted the Bush campaign to get a comment, but did not receive one immediately.

Recent endorsements include SEIU Healthcare and National Nurses United, as well as Communication workers of America.
