Later, the US Capitol Police confirmed that “no flags were vandalized or removed under our protection.” If anyone tries to remove a USCP flag, our officers will enforce the laws. To correct inaccurate reporting.”

The U.S. Park Police posted on Facebook shortly after 3 pm that “a crowd in Columbus Circle has engaged in criminal activities and is confronting law enforcers on the scene.” USPP is trying to deescalate the situation and contact event organizers for assistance.

About 15 minutes later the Park Police informed that the Columbus Circle Protest Permit had been revoked. They added, “Please depart the area now.”
