IDF names Sergeants Omri Tamari, Yosef Haib, Yoav Amon and Alon Amitay among the soldiers who died in Hezbollah attack.

On Monday morning, the IDF identified Sergeant Omri Tamari, Sergeant Yosef Haib, Sergeant Yoav Agomon, and Servant Alon Amitay as four of the soldiers who were killed in Hezbollah’s drone attack Sunday night on a Golani Brigade Training Base near Binyamina.

Sergeant Tamari was from Mazkeret Batya. Sergeant Hieb was from Tuba-Zanghariya. Sergeant Agmon was born in Binyamina Giv’at Ada. Lastly, Sergeant Amitay was from Ramot Nafftali.

The military said that all four soldiers who died at the base were in their infantry training and were aged 19 years.

Soldiers injured in Gaza

The IDF also reported that a soldier from the 8101st Battalion, 3rd Brigade as well as a member of the 46th Battalion, 401st Brigade suffered serious injuries during the battle in southern Gaza.

Seven other people were critically injured in the drone attack that occurred on Sunday. Four soldiers were also killed.

Five more were severely wounded and fourteen were moderately injured.

The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that the drone had been launched from Lebanon, and it used a barrage of rockets to conceal its approach.

Hezbollah launched two drones, including the one that hit the base. The other drone was shot down in the ocean.

The military conducted an investigation into the incident. Army Radio reported later that the drone was undetected.

After the attack on Sunday, IDF Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi was reported to have visited the Golani Brigade Training Base the following morning.

Halevi stated during the visit that “we are at war and an attack on a base of training on the homefront is difficult and painful.” “You did a good job in treating and evacuating the injured and wounded.” “Support the wounded and the families of the deceased, while strengthening the commanders and the soldiers.”

The chief of the staff said that the military will continue to prepare and meet the challenges ahead.

Halevi stated that “the Golani Brigade achieved many things in the war, and acted resolutely when faced with difficult situations. Continue on the path to this legacy.”

According to KAN News, Defense Minister Yoav Galant also visited the Base.

Gallant, a spokesman for the incident, told the personnel present that “we are working on developing solutions to deal with the threat posed by UAVs.”
