Musk Pours $75 Million into Pro-Trump PAC Down the Stretch

In the final stretch of the 2020 election cycle, the world’s wealthiest man will be fully supporting former President Donald Trump.

Newly released federal records reveal that Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO and owner of Tesla and SpaceX as well as owner of X, pumped $75 million in his pro-Trump America PAC between July and September. Elon Musk gave $30 million each in August and September, after giving $15 in July to start the latest campaign fundraising quarter.

The deadline to file quarterly reports with the Federal Election Commission is Tuesday. Political organizations must disclose their fundraising for the last few months. America PAC’s financial quarterly reports were eagerly awaited because Musk was thought to have made a substantial contribution to the group.

Musk’s substantial investment has made him one of the biggest political donors in this election cycle, and it further solidifies the shift to the right that is evident in his social media activity. Musk donated a six-figure amount to the GOP House campaign arm last month as Republicans fell behind their Democratic counterparts on fundraising for important down-ballot elections.

Do you agree with Elon Musk?
Even Elon Musk wants to know… why is the Biden/Harris administration funding America Last? Hurricane victims are suffering while billions of our tax dollars are sent to Lebanon, Ukraine, and illegal aliens! I’m Joshua Loyd. I’m tired of the Democrats in Washington putting America last! If you’re ready for someone who will truly put America First, kick in your support today and help me win!

Musk’s $246.8-billion net worth and his ownership of X makes him a powerful political figure. This is especially true because he has 201.7 million X fans and posts almost constantly on the platform. Trump has given multiple interviews, including one with Musk in which he discussed the Butler assassination and a variety of policy issues.

Musk’s America PAC vehicle is his X biography, which refers users to the page to better understand why he supports Trump. The organization is trying to register and mobilize swing-state voters to support Trump. It does this independently from his official campaign.

Musk endorsed Trump emphatically in July, after Trump survived a failed assassination during a campaign event in Butler, Pa. Prior to that, Musk supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s disastrous GOP primary campaign against Trump.

Generra Peck is reportedly a Republican operative who runs America PAC. Generra was the first DeSantis Campaign Manager, but he was fired due to his struggles in the primary. According to the New York Times, another DeSantis operative is former Republican Governors Association chief Phil Cox.

Musk wore a black cap that featured Trump’s trademark slogan when he spoke at the Butler rally earlier this month. This was a reference to an anti-Trump meme which Democrats adopted and transformed into Joe Biden’s “dark Brandon” persona.

Musk is increasingly threatening about the upcoming elections and warning that it could be America’s last democratic election if Democrats register millions of illegal immigrants to vote. In federal elections, noncitizens are rarely allowed to vote. However, Democrats in some deep-blue areas have allowed it in local elections.

Musk is often heard speaking out against the rise in illegal immigration during the Biden Administration and the threats to free speech that government agencies and Democrats pose by trying to restrict “disinformation”. Musk also targets the “woke-mind virus” – a term he uses to describe his progressive views on diversity programs and gender-change procedures.

Musk also believes that federal regulations hinder innovation, and has criticised the Biden administration’s numerous investigations of his businesses.

If Trump wins the election in November, he promises to form a government efficiency commission led by Musk to investigate fraud and assess the performance of federal agencies.
