Trump border czar: 100K beds, more ICE agents needed for deportations

Tom Homan, Donald Trump’s “border czar,” said he needed at least 100,000 beds for detention and a significant number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to carry out the plans of the president-elect.

Trump has promised the largest mass deportation of Americans in history. But how he plans to pay for it is still a mystery. ICE, for instance, does not have a budget for 100,000 beds.

This will be a costly operation. Homan told CNN that in the long term, the Americans would save a lot of money.

He added: “Because they are spending billions on free airline tickets and hotel rooms. They also provide free medical care. Not to mention our education system or our trauma in the hospitals …”.

Is Israel’s fate tied to Syria?

Syria has fallen, but we are still far from seeing the last of the hostages returned. Our brave soldiers must fight to secure Israel’s borders, rid the region of emboldened attackers all over the Middle East, and adapt to the escalating threats from Syria, but Israel doesn’t have enough supplies to properly win this war. Can you support our IDF sons and daughters as they continue fighting for the Survival of the Promised Land?.

Former acting ICE Director Kaitlan Collins told the anchor that he needed a minimum amount of $86,000,000 to complete deportation efforts.

Trump also said that undocumented migrants “cost us a fortune”, a claim that is disputed by most economists.

According to a July report by the Congressional Budget Office, increased immigration between 2021 and 2026 would result in a $897 billion decrease in the federal budget deficit.

Trump has stated that his administration will deport thousands, if not millions, of people. However, it is unclear whether Republicans on Capitol Hill who generally support his plans may balk due to the high costs of detention and transport.

Homan told Collins that “it all depends on how much funding I receive from the Hill.”
