Biden backers express ‘depression’ after Trump’s massive fundraising haul: report

Trump’s cash on hand is higher than ever before in the general election campaign.

The recent fundraising hauls of former President Trump have erased a seemingly insurmountable gap.

In a Sunday report, a major Biden contributor, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “There was a strategy of raising this money up front so that we could have this enormous edge.” The whole idea was to have a substantial cash advantage, but now that we’re even, and it’s already June …., I can only describe it as ‘depression.’

The comments follow a period of unprecedented donations to Trump, which saw him outraise Biden and the Democratic National Committee for two consecutive months. This effectively erased what had been a huge cash advantage that Biden once held.

Is Israel’s fate tied to Syria?

Syria has fallen, but we are still far from seeing the last of the hostages returned. Our brave soldiers must fight to secure Israel’s borders, rid the region of emboldened attackers all over the Middle East, and adapt to the escalating threats from Syria, but Israel doesn’t have enough supplies to properly win this war. Can you support our IDF sons and daughters as they continue fighting for the Survival of the Promised Land?.

Politico also gave anonymity to another major Biden donor who described the fundraising changes as “disappointing but not surprising.”

Trump’s huge fundraising hauls came after he won the GOP nomination early in March. He also recorded another major surge in May after being convicted of 34 felony charges in New York.

Trump’s haul comes at the same time as Make America Great Again Inc. (MAGA), a super PAC that supports the former president, has received a huge $50 million donation by conservative banker Timothy Mellon.

Biden’s fundraising figures in May rebounded despite the huge Trump haul of recent months. This was a much-needed boost after April’s weak performance. Last week, former New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg gave the maximum donation to the campaign of $1 million. This was in addition to the $19 millions that the former mayor contributed to a pro Biden super PAC.

Politico reports that Biden’s campaign raised an additional $40 million in the last week, after large fundraising events in Los Angeles, Northern Virginia and Philadelphia. Another major fundraiser scheduled for Monday has already been sold out.

The president is still behind the Democratic National Committee and Biden in the race to raise money for the general election. According to reports filed on Thursday, Trump and the Republican National Committee had $116.5 millions in cash, compared with $91.6 million for Biden.

Some Democratic strategists are spooked by this new reality, especially after seeing the numbers that came out following the conviction of the former president in New York.

Hank Sheinkopf told Politico that Democrats should be concerned that Trump is receiving money at such a rapid pace. You would think that a man who has been convicted of crimes wouldn’t be anywhere, but he is everywhere financially. This is a serious problem for Democrats.

Sheinkopf continued, “The challenger should not even be close in terms of money, especially for a guy convicted of felonies.” The Democrats should ask …. This is the question they should be concerned about.

Fox News Digital’s request for a comment from the Biden or Trump campaigns was not immediately responded to.
