Democratic National Committee chief predicts Dems ‘are going to hold the Senate’

October 20, 2014

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the leader of the Democratic National Committee, said Sunday that her party will keep control of the Senate next month, suggesting that a GOP effort to drag President Obama into races is a failed strategy.

“We are going to hold the Senate,” the Florida lawmaker told “Fox News Sunday.” “The president is not on the ballot.”

Her remarks come weeks after Obama argued that he indeed was “not on the ballot this fall” but that “every single one” of his policies are.

Since the start of the 2014 election cycle, Republicans have tried to tie incumbent Democrats to some of the Obama administration’s policies and actions that have alienated many voters — including ObamaCare and the IRS targeting of conservative political groups.

What does she know, I say the Dem are going to loose the senate.

  • Deborah G says:

She is doing exactly what she is suppossed to to keep the base energized and to make sure people keep donating. The fact she is a moronic idiot isn’t the issue. The DNC loves androids that can spout the company line in the pouring rain

I think the elections held in Iraq, Afghanistan and every other ‘Stan in the world are conducted more honestly than those in the USA over the last few years!

THANK YOU Debbie Wasserman Schultz!!! Whenever lying, uncouth, ugly, (inside as well as outside), socialist, communist, progressive, USA constitution busting, democrats like YOU run your mouth, ALL it does is pi$$ off republicans that much more , CAUSING A MASSIVE REPUBLICAN TURNOUT ON ELECTION DAY! That just makes it even worse for the rest of the lying, democrat, progressive, socialist, communists who are up for reelection, who will then get their colletive A$$ES beat, that much more! Want to do the democrats a favor? Then just STFU!

PS. Not even your democrat friends believe you, as you are just spouting “party line”, El toro poo poo!

Keep dreamin Debbie. Your actions have opened the eyes of everyone who was a Dem. Your damn party has torn this country apart in supporting the imposter your lying leader obama. You can bet he is not my leader.

  • savage24 says:

She could well be right, what have the establishment Republicans done to win his election besides back the most progressive candidates. They are still stuck on stupid, no matter what they do, they cannot out Democrat the Democrats. Liberalism is a mental disease and the establishment GOP have contracted it.

DNC will cheat again and has already put up schemes to steal the election.
If this happens again, then election is no longer a reliable means to choose our leaders. Democrats are crooks, and have been proven every year that they cheat by all kinds of EVIL ways to win the election. This is no longer a Republic and we the people are just subjects.

Debbie would still say that the Titanic was unsinkable.

  • Catherine McCoy says:

They will if there is massive voter fraud, which is always possible

  • CTH says:

Why are we subjected to the stupid mountings of that discredited idiot Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Her election to head the DNC is all the proof needed to prove the stupidity of the democrap party elitists.

    1. I Seigel says:

Why are we subjected to stupid stories like this one? Of COURSE each spokesman is going to be a cheerleader for their own side! That’s their JOB! Would anyone expect differently? Would you expect the leader of any organization to say that their competitor has a better product? Running stories like this is stupid. Reading stories like this is even stupider. Responding to stories like this is stupidest. Count me as one of the latter…

      1. rickouellette says:

Helloi Seigel-respectfully disagree-you are not the least bit stupid. Misguided, maybe but not stupid. Of course Debbie will cheer her party on. God forbid another four years of Harry Reid and his inert democrats. I would not really care if the democrats retained the senate if someone other than mentally challenged, Obama lap dog Reid were the majority leader. With Harry, any bill coming from the House is dead on arrival unless it is a democrat sponsored spending bill that will add billions to the national debt. We need someone with common sense and ability to work with the minority party. Can the country survive gridlock Harry ? Good Luck America !!!

        1. I Seigel says:

Well, I would agree with you that Reid is not the best that the Dems could have come up with. Neither was Pelosi. Both are/were not the best or strongest of leaders. On the other hand, neither is/was Boehner or Kantor. Obama leaves something to be desired, as well. That’s why elections matter, and an educated electorate. And why SuperPACs and out-of-state donors with hidden agendas need to be curtailed. On BOTH sides.

          1. rickouellette says:

Agree on both Boehner and Kantor. Of course, the latter is history and he was de-throned by someone who spent very little money to do so. Maybe that is the approach we need to take-vote for the person who raises the least money if otherwise qualified. Many good candidates choose not to run because of the horrendous cost of running a campaign. Another solution would be to put a cap on the amount anyone is allowed to spend , and make that number low enough , to allow every candidate to have an equal shot. Good Luck America !!!

          2. I Seigel says:

OMG! It’s sounds like you’re actually advocating for some kind of campaign finance reform, Mr Ouelette! I think I’m going to have a heart attack!

          3. rickouellette says:

Hey young man-do not hyperventilate. I have been advocating for both campaign and tax reform for a long time. Long before you got you first computer. lol Good Luck America !!!

          4. I Seigel says:

My first computer I ran WordStar on a KayPro “laptop”. My second computer was an HP Portable, followed by a Portable Plus. MSDOS 5.x, I believe.

    2. SoftballUmpire says:

Could it be that it piques the Republican voters to get out and vote to prove her wrong. If we are fed enough poll information of victory and see this inept shill enough times we won’t succumb to complacency but diligently ensure that we vote and assist others to get to the voting booth rather than believing Debbie.
