Donald Trump Promises to ‘End the Era of Inflation, Mayhem, and Misery’

On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump announced a commitment to combat inflation by reducing energy prices by half, securing borders against illegal immigration, returning supply chains to U.S. land, and reducing the regulatory burdens for American businesses.

Trump said in remarks in Asheville (North Carolina) that he would reduce energy costs by half, restore affordability to homes through securing the borders and deporting undocumented immigrants, impose tariffs of 10 to 20% on imports of goods from countries that he claimed were taking advantage of America, and eliminate taxes on Social Security and tips.

Trump has criticized the Biden and Harris administration’s energy policy for years, claiming that they were responsible for the inflation surge which sent prices soaring at the highest rate in 40 years. Trump expanded his criticism on Wednesday by claiming that the Biden and Harris administration had eased up on their restrictions on fossil-fuels due to political reasons. He also predicted that Harris, if she were elected, would go back to her anti-fossil-fuel, anti-fracking policy.

Trump stated, “Now they are drilling but the day after they win the election the drilling will stop.” “By contrast I am announcing that the United States, under my leadership, will commit to an ambitious goal of cutting energy prices in half.

Trump promised to reverse the Biden and Harris policies that hindered energy extraction in Alaska National Wildlife Refuge. He promised to stop the electric vehicle mandates imposed by the Obama administration.

Trump tried to link Vice President Kamalah Harris with the economic problems of the current administration, particularly the runaway inflation. He pointed out that she had been one of Biden’s biggest supporters and was the crucial tie-breaking vote on many of his most important pieces of legislation.

“Kamala declared that the fight against inflation would be his first priority. Consider it. “For her, the first day was three and a half years ago,” Trump stated. “She claims that her plan will bring prices down. Why didn’t you do it? “You’ve been working there for three and a half years.”

Trump presented a vision of hope and optimism for the U.S.

He said, “We’ll have peace and prosperity.” “We will put an end to inflation, chaos, and misery.”

Trump stated that if you vote for him, “your incomes will rise, your savings will increase, young people can afford to buy a house, and we will bring back the American Dream stronger and better than ever.”

Trump claimed that the surge in illegal immigration under Biden-Harris’ administration has driven up housing costs and stretched government budgets.

“I will seal off the border. “I will seal the border. Trump promised that prices would drop dramatically and quickly.

Trump stated that the surge of immigration also threatens the health and safety of Social Security, Medicare. He promised to strengthen those programs by deporting any illegal immigrants that might one day become a drain.

He said he would also end the taxation of Social Security Benefits, noting that the tax was introduced under the Reagan administration and only affected a few wealthy beneficiaries. The threshold for triggering taxes is not inflation-indexed, so it now taxes retirees who earn less than the median income of the United States.

Trump reiterated that he plans to eliminate taxes on tips, and make permanent the tax cuts for individuals enacted under his presidency.

Trump has gone further on trade than in previous statements. He promised to impose tariffs between 10 and 20% on “foreign nations that have ripped us off for many years”. In his earlier statements, Trump proposed a 10% tariff.

Trump claimed that the tariffs would “bring millions and millions of new jobs back and bring in billions upon billions of dollars.”

Trump asked his audience how they would compare his administration with the current Biden/Harris regime.

Does anyone feel more wealthy under Kamala and Joe the Crooked? Trump asked, “Is there anything cheaper?” Are you better off under Harris and Biden or Donald Trump?
