Obama eyes Executive Orders as second term crumbles

by Ben Geman, The Hill
November 9, 2013

President Obama has a chance to craft a second-term legacy on climate change even as the rest of his agenda runs aground in Congress.

Gun control legislation is dead; immigration reform is on life support; and reaching a fiscal deal with Republicans appears to be a long shot.

To make matters worse, what was supposed to be his signature first-term achievement — ObamaCare — is suffering from a disastrous rollout.

But there’s one thing that’s going right for Obama: Executive action on climate change is moving full-speed ahead at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

“He may be able to do more through climate change [rules] because the EPA has the authority,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) told The Hill on Thursday.

IMPEACH the PATHOLOGICAL LIAR NOW!! Obama is the WORST President in USA HISTORY!!

  • modernminuteman says:

Through the EPA Obama has just killed the last lead smelting company in America which you can bet was him targeting ammunition. fortunately the ammo companies say it will not effect their production but this was Obama’s intent.

  • edgineer says:

Time we elect people who will strip EPA of this power. Better yet, eliminate the EPA. and leave it up to the states where it belongs.

We need to defund then rid our nation of this cold sore on the economy.

  • Azcat85 says:

The EPA has no constitutional authority. He can pass all the executive orders he wants and the agencies affected just need to ignore them and sue the government for over reach of authority. Obama is done as a president as is incompetence has been shown and he is exposed as an ineffectual leader and habitual liar to the American people.

  • James Maxwell says:

The Socialist Democrats will back him on using executive orders since
it will keep those up for election in 2014 and 2016 out of the limelight
and hopefully keep the stench of his corruption away form them in
their bid for reelection. And, of course, the so called media will do all
it can to insure that their connection with him is not reported to the
mindless minions of the Socialist Democrat party. After all they don’t
want their slaves to realize that he is causing even more loss of benefits
    to them as well.

I sure wish a vast majority of you that sit in these comment boxes would stop hiding behind the two party election charade. The same old game with the same old tactic’s. Brought to you in living color by the same group of people and their decendants that sold your great grand parents the Trogen Horse and biggest fraud and deception ever perpetrated on humanity in recorded history. The Federal Reserve Banking System of Government. And even though most of you are smart enough to realise that the same people are directly responsible for no less than 80 percent of the mayhem, death and destruction that has taken place since 1913 worldwide. Too many of you still choose to believe that your voting input in our bought and paid for phony two party election system will make a difference. It is comfortable for now to live in delusion by choice. But soon the curtin will be pulled back and when that happens. The suicide rates worldwide will be like nothing ever before seen. Harbingers of things to come. The dieing will begin when your children start crying. Daddy? Why did you let this happen?

Why hasn’t Boehner started impeachment proceedings? Boehner needs to do that now before O does more damage to our country

    1. James Maxwell says:

He’s still trying to figure out how to cry and surrender at the same
time along with the GOP and remember they are to busy fighting
to destroy the TEA party who hold them accountable for their
      actions.

    2. edgineer says:

It would be stupid to do so while Democrats control the Senate. First we have to get both House and Senate in Republican control or it is hopeless.

  • Ed Kitting says:

As with most federal agencies their basic stated goal at the beginning was I’m sure a noble one,now however like other agencies they have grown into a giant leech that serves special interests and not the public. They are an extension of the green energy agenda.

  • Driver_S says:

Congress needs to curtail the tyrannical powers and agendas of the EPA. Their unjustified, exorbitant, extremely high demands and regulations are costing Americans jobs, high prices, and causing businesses to close that are an important part of our economy and substance.

    1. James Maxwell says:

As long as Harry Reid is in charge of the Senate nothing will go
forth to restrict or rein in any government agency that is being
used by the O’socialist in the Whut House.

      1. modernminuteman says:

Yes this is why we must take back the senate.

  • Charles Kimberl says:

The so called authority of the abusive EPA needs to be vigorously challenged in the court system. They are out of control as are most federal agencies.
