Obama’s war advisers not instilling confidence on Islamic State strategy

President Obama’s war Cabinet is not instilling confidence in the public about his “no boots on the ground” strategy to defeat the Islamic State now anchored in two countries and in more than a dozen towns.

In congressional testimony last week, officials’ predictions for how the mission would succeed one day repeatedly were couched in big “ifs.”

Obama is driving his muslim friends underground for two reasons, 1. To hide them and save their azz’s so they can re-emerge at a later time and 2. So when he does put boots on the ground (and he will) there will be no “enemy” to be found. He will then declare the misson a success (just before 2014 elections and pull American troops out leaving the communist U.N. to “keep the piece.”
American military, in the meantime, will be decimated by the Ebola in Africa which they will be bringing back to their bases and families.
Expect Obama to be taking many oversees trips to avoid the Ebola out break and to set himself up to flee to Indonesia when he can no longer return to the USA.

Name the last war that the US took part in and was on the victorious side?

    1. I Seigel says:

The invasion of Grenada! Not a war actually, but Reagan was hailed as the conquering hero. We kicked Grenada’s ass in that one! Booyah!! But if I recall, Reagan didn’t look so good after all those Marines were killed in Beirut. And when he was caught secretly dealing with Iran… Nevertheless, the Teflon President got an airport and an aircraft carrier named after him. All Hail, St Ronnie!

      1. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

You are correct not actually a War. Actually less a war than many other “conflicts” and or “Police Actions” as I do not believe it had a full vote of Congress?

        1. I Seigel says:

Ah, you bring up an interesting point. “A full vote of Congress”. I believe the cowards in this Congress buried the authorization for action in Syria within the budget to keep the government operating past Sept 30. The cowards in the Republican Party didn’t want to go on record actually supporting the President. The same as their cowardly vote giving temporary re-authorization to the Ex-Im Bank.

          1. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

OK now I think you failed to go far enough. While there can be no doubt cowardice played a huge role so did ignorance. They had not a clue as to what to do or say

          2. I Seigel says:

No, ignorance is Rep. Stockman, the moron Republican from Texas, who serves on the House science and Technology Committee, displaying his ignorance on climate change. What is a brain-dead know-nothing like him doing on the Science Committee?

          3. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

Regrettably the answer is that he got elected to the House to begin with and then appointed by a greater fool than he.

          4. I Seigel says:

OK, now YOU failed to go far enough.

Regrettably, the morons in his district of the formerly great state of Texas were taken in by his idiotic claptrap and elected him. You know, the same ones that voted for Cruz? Where did the smart and sane Texans go, the ones that elected Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Lyndon Johnson and other worthwhile Americans?

          5. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

My sincerest apologies I do not have an answer to your question. It is as if the Twilight Zone carried them all away but to where?

Surely our Supreme Commander-in-Chief is right in his war strategy. I hope you realize that comment is saturated with sarcasm. Obama is talking out of both sides of his mouth as usual. What ever his strategy is you can bet it is wrong and won’t result in anything good for our country.

      1. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

Actually since no matter what side of his mouth you think the President is speaking out of what he is doing is following all of the advice given out by Republican Senators who were attempting to keep Tea Potty members happy. Those Senators would be led by McCain, Graham and Ayotte. Those three have suggested every alternative possible. all within the past month short of Nukes and McCain has suggested their use before.

        1. fdcorby@gmail.com says:

Obama would never listen to a Republican unless they were playing into his hands. Let us remember Obama doesn’t have a war plan, no strategy, no tactics, nada, zip. He always has a knee jerk reaction based on how he thinks the public is reacting to his lack of leadership. Obama is a Muslim and his allegiance is to ISIS/ISIL. He hates America and is doing his best to destroy us and make us a 3rd world power. I can’t support someone like this, you sir obviously can and do.

          1. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

Only a complete and total ass would fail to see that President Obama has adopted more right wing conservative ideas than left wing ideas. Once he has though asshats have opposed their own ideas time after time after time. He has even publicly on numerous occasions nearly begged Republicans to put forward suggestions which could be implemented, however every time he has done this and they do respond they move the goalposts. So take your ridiculous comment and shove it hard where it will never see daylight again. Facts are facts

          2. fdcorby@gmail.com says:

Raymond you are a loser, a hot head and have no idea what you are talking about. I’m not going to discuss this anymore with a jerk like you!

          3. Raymond J Ambrozaitis says:

Right between the eyes!! Got ya huh?

  • Dave says:

Politicians always screw up war efforts one way or the other as past history teaches us. Going back to WWII as Roosevelt did everything possible to stay out of WWII even providing war materials to England, France, etc. but no “boots on the ground” and only when Japan attacked us at Pearl Harbor was he forced to jump into the fray. Does that sound familiar?

The Korean War would have been over in a much shorter time and Korea would be a unified country if the politicians had just let the military do their job instead of all kinds of impeding “rules of engagement” dictated for political reasons. We never lost a battle in Vietnam and could have taken total control of Vietnam if Johnson and anti-war activists made poor decisions disallowing the military from doing their job and winning the war. We arbitrarily pulled out and leaving the South unable to defend itself costing over 2 million innocent lives as the North came in and murdered anyone who supported the war and democracy. Does this sound familiar to Iraq?

So…I have no confidence in the current American strategy to remove ISIS from the Middle East. This has to be an “all in” or “not in” plan. To achieve the desired outcome means giving our military leaders the freedom to do what they can do best which is win wars. The politicians need to step back and let the military get the job done, otherwise, it is going to be another painful and unforfilling half assed effort costing us much in human and financial American assets and the job will not get done.

However, Obama will be able to skate out the Whitehouse door claiming to have met his promise to not put boots on the ground in Iraq or other middleastern countries leaving a mess for the next President.

  • I Seigel says:

I believe the “no boots” thing is going to quietly go away. Most of the experts who have a deep knowledge of the situation there say that troops will be needed, if the goal is to “defeat” ISIS. So either the anti-ISIS side needs to reassess their goals or they need to recalibrate their strategy to achieve the goals that they’ve chosen.

Whoever kicked this hornet’s nest and disturbed the status quo sure has a lot of explaining to do!

    1. Jack_nSlvrSprng says:

Maybe the goal is not to defeat ISIS but just to get through the election?

      1. I Seigel says:

Not very likely. The election is less than 2 months away.
