The FBI has said that it complied with standard protocol during its raid in August 2022 on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate in Florida.

Court documents reveal that the Biden administration authorized use of deadly force in the FBI raid on the former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate in Florida in August of 2022, as part of their investigation into classified files.

“The FBI followed the standard protocol for this search, as we do with all search warrants. This includes a standard statement that limits the use of deadly violence. A “Operations Order”, produced as part of Special Attorney Jack Smith’s probe into Trump’s alleged improper storage of classified records, revealed that “the FBI believed its goal for the Mar-a-Lago search was to seize NDI and US Government Records” as described in a search warrant.

According to a court document, the order contained a “Policy Declaration” on “Use of Deafening Force”, which stated that, for example, Law Enforcement Officers of the Department of Justice can use deadly force if necessary.

The DOJ and FBI agents were told to wear unmarked collared or polo shirts and keep their ‘law enforcement gear concealed’.

Trump, who spent a second day in court for his criminal trial, stemming out of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into Trump’s alleged falsification of business records, responded to Tuesday afternoon’s revelations.

Smith’s probe into Trump’s retention of classified material led to the charges. Trump pleaded no contest to all 37 charges brought by Smith, including conspiracy to obstruct the justice and false statements.

Trump was also charged as part of an indictment superseding the investigation with three additional counts: one count of willful retention and two counts of obstruction.

Trump has pleaded innocent.

The trial in Smith’s case has been postponed indefinitely by Judge Aileen A. Cannon of U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida. The trial was scheduled to start on May 20.
