The proliferation of “beautiful young vampires”… is encouraging young people to dabble with occult forces, a leading authority on demonic possession has warned a Vatican-backed exorcism course.

“There are those who try to turn people into vampires and make them drink other people’s blood, or encourage them to have special sexual relations to obtain special powers,” said Professor Giuseppe Ferrari at the meeting in Rome, which heard that the number of such possessions is rising globally. “These groups are attracted by the so-called beautiful young vampires that we’ve seen so much of in recent years.”

Right on this. Not a blanket endorsement.

The dual of unsubstantiated superstitions. On the one hand we have the Vatican who worships a man who may have lived two thousand years ago and is reputed to have risen from the dead. On the other hand we have teenagers who, like every teenager generation in living memory, has a craze about the “undead.” Without question the teenagers will outgrow this interest. Will the Vatican EVER throw in the towel with their superstitious claptrap. The GREATEST threat to peace and prosperity in the west is NOT “Islam,” although they’re a bunch of idiots too. The greatest threat to peace and prosperity in the US is Christianity. And trust me, something WILL be done about it.

And yes there are silky things that ppl believe in. But to attack anyones beliefs is passing judgement and who are we to try to diswade ppl from believing in Christ or anyother religon??!!

You also forgot about the Saga of Darren Shan. His vampires don’t fit in with what you think a vampire should be. They don’t have fangs, they pop your veins instead of biting your neck, and they eat human food in addition to blood. There are some pro life elements in these stories, such as when Darren says that the elderly shouldn’t be killed off. Anyway, vampires only exist in the minds of the authors who write about them. This article is mainly for those who can’t distinguish between fantasy and reality. Like Darren said, “What kind of crazy person wants to become a vampire?”

    1. Nobody _wants_ to become a vampire, as the characters in my novel _Sweeter Than Wine_will attest. But once you’re there, can you be an _ethical_ vampire?
