Vladimir Putin goes on TV to deliver World War 3 message for Donald Trump
Putin’s remarks show a dramatic change from the Kremlin in November, when it refused to congratulate Trump for his win, citing the US as being “unfriendly” towards Russia.
Vladimir Putin appeared on Russian TV to urge Donald Trump to not start World War III, and to congratulate him on his victory. This was just hours before Donald Trump gave his Inaugural Address as the 47th president of the United States.
We hear Trump’s statements about the need to stop World War III. “We undoubtedly welcome this disposition and congratulate President Trump,” Putin said during a televised meeting of the Russian Security Council.
He stressed the possibility of reestablishing relations with the US after Trump and his team talked about reestablishing communication while Moscow continues to wage war in Ukraine.

Putin stated that he had heard Trump’s and his team’s “statements about their desire to restore direct contact with Russia which the outgoing administration [Biden] had cut off without our fault.”
He stated that Moscow had “never rejected this dialogue” as well as that US-Russian relations should be built on “equality, mutual respect and equality.”
Putin issued a chilling warning to the West when former president Joe Biden gave his approval for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s use of US-made ATACMS rockets to attack deeper into Russia in order to counter Moscow’s three-year-long, relentless war in Ukraine.
Putin’s remarks show a dramatic change from the Kremlin stance in November, when it refused to congratulate Trump for his win and cited the US as being “unfriendly” towards Russia.
Trump promised to end the conflict in Ukraine during his presidential campaign.
Dmitry Peskov has recently, also, stressed Russia’s interest to speak with the US regarding the war in Ukraine.
“This does not require any special conditions.” Peskov stated that the only thing needed is a mutual desire and political will for a dialogue.
Trump’s threat to cut off US aid to Ukraine is increasing the fear in Ukraine.
Trump’s theme for his Inauguration is “strength and unity”; he is the second US president in history, after Grover Cleaver in 1892, to win a second non-consecutive term.
The dangerously cold temperatures in Washington D.C. will force Trump’s inauguration to take place inside. The coldest Inauguration day since 1985, when Ronald Reagan was also sworn in at the Capitol Rotunda, is expected to take place on January 20, 2017.
Trump’s swearing in ceremony will be broadcast, just like Reagan’s.
The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremony said that around 800 people will be in the Capitol Rotunda to witness Trump’s Inauguration. Another 1,300 are expected in Emancipation Hall, and 500 in the theater at the Capitol Visitor’s Center.
