Mega-Pastor Pleads For 200,000 Church Supporters To Donate ‘$300 Or More’ So He Can Buy New $65M Private Jet

The founder and leader of a controversial Atlanta-based megachurch has appealed online for 200,000 people to each donate ‘$300 or more’ so that he can buy a $65 million private jet favored by high-flying billionaires.
Reverend Creflo Dollar, 53, is the head of the World Changers Church International, a Christian ministry centered around the prosperity gospel, which preaches that God wants to bless the faithful with earthly riches.
The televangelist, who is one of the most prominent African-American preachers in the United States, this week put a five-minute video up on his website pledging for donations for a Gulfstream G650 – which claims to be the fastest plane ever built in civilian aviation – so that ‘World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace’.
Dollar – who is known to own two Rolls Royce’s and multi-million dollar homes in Atlanta and New Jersey – last hit headlines in 2012, after being arrested for allegedly attacking his 15-year-old daughter.

Another leach upon the christian working class to support his lavish lifestyle, in the name of religion. If they raise this amount someone needs to restrict it to helping those less fortunate in America, not this Leach upon Society.

It’s not true, PERIOD.

I’ll tell you this: THIS IS PATHETIC.
I am a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute and it’s common knowledge that its founder, Rev. Gordon Lindsay, wore clothes that he’s purchased decades before he passed away in April, 1974, and that he drove age old automobiles because he thought of the money, entrusted to him by Almighty God as his responsibility to missions.
He and his wife lived in a little apartment, owned by the ministry … other apartment complexes, along with other apartments in the one he lived, were used as housing for the students in the Bible school he founded.
Ministers, who think they have a Godly call to live lavishly, would have been rebuked by Rev. Gordon Lindsay!

THEY WOULD BE REBUKED BY THE ‘AL-MIGHTY’ GOD, FIRST AND FOREMOST.

They should be “outted” as being lovers of money!! Remember, Paul wrote to Timothy and said, “The love of money is the root of all evil.”
It’s one thing if someone GAVE this ministry an airplane and quite another for them to go out and ask for money to purchase it.
Money should be sought ONLY to bring in the lost!!

That’s what the scriptures that the Lord gave us, says. But you have to be ‘Humble” first and then be passionate about helping the poor. But in order to do that you must be ‘born again’ for starters.

Humility may be something they BEGAN with. However, they may, also, have lost it, when the money started pouring in and they started realizing how much easier it is to be wealthy than it is to be poor.
When they allowed that to happen, humility may have gone out, with common-sense, and they started living lavishly, which doesn’t look so good.
The fact that they will start to say they need to appear to be what they say…i.e. – dressing in expensive clothes, driving expensive automobiles, living in mansions, etc… And, that’s when their reputations will suffer, amongst those, who read between the lines.

There isn’t any concrete evidence that this supposed request for donations to buy a airplane is fact.

No concrete evidence, one way or the other. Of course, I’m aware that a, now-deceased, prison minister, who drove a Cadillac, worked 40-hour weeks on the side of his ministry, which took up some of his evenings and most of his weekends.
(Sorry, I cannot think of this man’s name, but, when I sent him 20 dollars, I was told of his Caddy and asked another prison minister about that. I was told that he paid for the automobile, out of his own pocket and that the money, given to his ministry, went directly into that ministry.
Just like anyone else, I’m not interested in providing for the likes of the PTL (pass the loot) Club.

What does this have to do with Creflo Dollar? All ministers, pastors and evangelists, are not bad or the same.

You’re right…They’re not. Personally, I’ve seen how people lump ALL ministries into a group, whenever one does something wrong.

Yes, most unfortunate. But at the end of the day, only one thing matters, how does the Lord Jesus Christ Judge you. This is the only thing that is important.

Crystal Cathedral, wow surprised me when that megachurch going Bankrupt. I mean with all of the notable people that showed up there on Sunday mornings. Four years later pastor Schuler dies of cancer.

According to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/22/crystal-cathedral-robert-schuller-downfall_n_1368321.html. sibling rivalry (all of their father’s children, apparently, wanted to take over, when he decided to step down.
I remember seeing his grandson, speaking in the new church, which wasn’t the Crystal Cathedral.
This does, now, appear to be plausible, too. Especially since the daughter, who was speaking in the place of the Dad, when the Cathedral was sold, was no longer at the helm and also because the old man’s grandson was the one, speaking.

You’re right, BOC. I am aware that federal mandates require ministries to raise only what they’ve asked for.
One ministry, I’ve supported, from time to time, wrote me, explaining that what I’d sent money for had already been paid and asked if I wanted a refund or if I would allow them to use the money, elsewhere.

Some say that he may have asked his congregation during one of his services for the donations. You must keep in mind he has more than one church in different states, a lot of pastors do. They also have jets to get them there on the same day to conduct services. He’s probably looking to upgrade from what he currently has. You can only maintenance a plane for so long because safety eventually becomes an issue.
Obviously he wouldn’t have this type of transportation if the church didn’t approve. Let’s not misled our blogger’s, the church owns the plane not the pastor. I’m just saying, not defending.

Born again or not,…this is blatant greed, and worship of money and power. Buy a coach class ticket and fly on the occasion that presence is required and give the money saved to the missions.

I think we should take a deep breath before we go off on a tangent. Dr. Dollar’s website doesn’t show this as being a fact.

The “Joker Chaos” edition features a mixture of purple, neon green and solar red in representing the Joker from the
Batman movies. It is possible to buy basketball shoes with the swoosh
at stores everywhere. Confident muslce is far more dense, but incorporating muscle will get rid of your body fat and your entire body will seem and sense
significantly less flabby and weak.

The pity is that fools will send him money just to feel better about their own miserable lives. TV Pastors and conmen all cut from the same piece of tattered stained cloth that politicians come from.
