Supporters of AZ immigration law rally at Tempe Diablo Stadium

May 30, 2010

(NECN/KTVK: Tempe, AZ) – Thousands gathered at a baseball stadium outside of Phoenix Saturday night to show support for Arizona’s tough new illegal immigration law.

Most of the seven-thousand seats at Tempe Diablo Stadium were full.

In the face of a backlash against the law, the Stand With Arizona rally asked people from across the nation to support it.

While others try to boycott the state, supporters are asking Americans to “buycott” the state by planning vacations there.

Earlier in the day, thousand of opponents of the law rallied and marched to the state Capitol.

While there’s no exact tally, organizers were expecting 50-thousand people to attend.
