A Boston police officer who was not on duty shot and killed a man police believed to be a attempted stabber in an altercation at a Chick-fil-A restaurant on Boylston Street on Saturday. The attacker attempted to stab at least two people before being shot.

Don’t let Senate Republicans kill the Trump Agenda

Why do Senate Republicans make the rest of the GOP worry every time Congress has a fight over major legislation? They rarely seem to remember that they were elected to protect individual rights, cut spending and limit government overreach. Fortunately, we have our Top Defenders of Liberty leading the way, like:

  • Rand Paul,
  • Mike Lee, and
  • Ron Johnson.

Unfortunately, there’s still many others in the U.S. Senate who earned a low score in our Liberty Index, and they need to hear from you.

Will you join our efforts to ensure the U.S. Senate passes Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” without compromises or interference from Senate RINOS?

Wu began her remarks at a press briefing by saying, “All of our thoughts and my condolences are with the family of the person whose life was lost.”

The police said that the knife attacker was killed after two people who were being pursued by the man with a knife ran into the restaurant. A restaurant employee who was not on duty told the man inside to drop the knife. The officer fired at the man when he refused to drop his knife. Later, the man died in a hospital.

Wu’s remarks sparked online backlash after a Bostonians Against Mayor Wu account posted a clip online.

Unbelievable. This city is more concerned about protecting criminals rather than residents

How did Boston vote again for this? I used to live in the Back Bay. It was a safe area of the city. She’s offering condolences??? ?” Fox News contributor Joe Concha said.

Joe Lonsdale, an entrepreneur, said Wu’s remarks exemplified issues deeper within the Democratic Party.

Lonsdale wrote: “When you vote far left, that’s unambiguously a vote to protect criminals first.” “Progressive D is a vote in favor of the massive grift machinery that uses empathy and naivete people to plunder and hates all things great, noble and successful about civilization.”

Robert Holden, a Democrat on the New York City Council, said that his party has “lost the plot” in response to Wu’s comments.

“Democrats are now the party of criminals.” Holden shared a photo of the Boston mayor offering condolences for the criminal who tried to stabbing multiple people, and refused to give up his weapon when an off-duty police officer ordered him to. “My party is lost — this is crazy.”
