Sen. Jeanne Shaheen announces she will run again in 2020

MANCHESTER — U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen announced Sunday that she will seek reelection in 2020.

Shaheen, D-NH, is nearing the end of her second term representing the Granite State in the U.S. Senate, where she was first elected in 2008 and won reelection to in 2014.

“Serving New Hampshire is a tremendous honor and my work in the Senate is focused on delivering results for Granite Staters,” Shaheen posted on her personal Facebook page. “Through bipartisanship and respect for one another, we will continue to make progress together!”

The post introduced an interview with WMUR, in which she made her announcement during a Sunday morning broadcast.
