Elizabeth Warren Doubles Down on Discredited Smear of Pete Hegseth
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA.) Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is peddling discredited smears against Pete Hegseth despite there being no evidence to support the claims. Warren, in a desperate effort to undermine a prominent Trump supporter, continues to make false claims. She ignores the facts, and instead focuses on Hegseth’s character, rather than addressing issues that are most important to Americans. Her actions are just another example of how the left tries to silence anyone who challenges their narrative or rebuts their radical agenda.
Warren’s letter to Hegseth began with a congratulatory note to the former Fox News anchor, before she ripped his reputation apart. She expressed “serious concern” over his qualifications. This included his so-called ‘blatant disregard’ of female servicemembers and his alleged “drinking problem”. Warren accused Hegseth of undermining Defense Department and supporting “war” between political enemies.
Here are some excerpts of Warren’s 33 page letter accusing Hegseth utter nonsense.
Your history of gross mismanagement in organizations that you have previously led raises concerns about your ability manage a federal department with an $850 billion budget,4 which represents over half of the requested discretionary spending. The donors of VFF “hatched a scheme to remove control from you” after your mismanagement of VFF finances became “so dire that they hatched a plot to take away [you]”, following the hiring of a forensic accounting firm to review the finances of the organization, which was found to be “appalling”.

The Secretary of Defense is always available to give Presidents critical advice on national security. You have been accused repeatedly of an alcohol-abuse pattern. A Secretary of Defense should be able to make clear decisions and be available at all times. One who is prone to excessive or inappropriate drinking can undermine our national security.
Warren continued to attack Pete Hegseth. She accused him of “blatant disregard to women in uniform”, and spread false smears regarding his tattoos. The “Deus Vult”, which means “God wills” has been falsely associated with “right-wing extremism”, despite the lack of evidence. These baseless accusations distract from the actual issues as Warren doubles-down on discrediting Hegseth rather than engaging in substantive discussion.
JD Vance, the Vice President-elect of the United States, commented on the controversy over Hegseth’s tattoos. He said that the left was “attacking Pete Hegseth because he has a Christian slogan tattooed on him arm.” The AP is guilty of anti-Christian prejudice and should be ashamed.
Republicans currently have a majority of 53 to 47 in the U.S. Senate. This margin is not a supermajority but it’s enough to confirm Hegseth, and other Trump nominees, without any Democratic support.
