FBI hands over more classified documents to State: Clinton Case far from over

by S.A. Miller
August 14, 2017

The Hillary Clinton email fiasco isn’t ending anytime soon, with State Department officials saying they have no idea when they will finish sorting though and releasing the previously hidden messages.

More classified documents that the former secretary of state improperly handled keep coming to light.

The Trump administration doesn’t even know if it has hunted down every trace of the emails that Mrs. Clinton — a former first lady, U.S. senator, top diplomat and Democratic presidential nominee — sent from a secret email server stashed in her home.

“At this time, we do not have an estimate for completion of processing all of these documents,” a State Department official told The Washington Times.

I suppose we are suppose to believe the Justice department has to read all of the emails before they can turn them over. The e mails have been subpoenaed and are to be turned over. They were to be turned over long ago and were not and then the justice dept went before a judge saying they needed more time because they didn’t have the time to read them all. The subpoena did not say read them and then turn them in, as a matter of fact the justice dept. wanted until a couple years after the electi9on. They are stalling and will not follow the laws they expect us to follow.

  • goldie says:

State Dept. officials: Let’s see … when does the statute of limitations expire…that’s probably right around the time we will finish processing these emails. Sorry, Justice, you lose again.

  • KKmoderate says:

Clinton has only herself to blame for this never-ending investigation. If she hadn’t tried to subvert the way business is conducted with respect to emailing. If she hadn’t taken steps to hide and/or destroy material. If she hadn’t lied and said she had turned everything over when subsequently more was uncovered. If she just hadn’t acted like a criminal then she wouldn’t be treated like one!

Some people can’t take ‘no’ for an answer. That’s the DOJ if it keeps pursuing the political opponent of Pres. Trump at his orders. It’s also designed to undermine faith in the FBI and special prosecutor Mueller who are investigating Trump and company for collusion and racketeering when beating Clinton narrowly last year. We don’t pursue our political opponents to ‘lock her up’. That’s a trick of dictators. We don’t hound political opponents for decades when good and sufficient committee and study group conclusions say she’s not breaking laws. That’s reserved for dictators, too. Congress, State Department, and independent investigators have absolved Clinton of wrongdoing in her emails, so let it go, Mr. Sessions and Mr. Trump. Stop the authoritarian march.

    1. goldie says:

No, obama didn’t hound political opponents with the IRS, either. You see only the things you want to see. Why don’t you do us all a favor and find some liberal site to spew your garbage on…nobody here is listening.

      1. DrBillLemoine says:

You seem to forget we are a nation of laws, of law and order. The president has no control over IRS which is governed by laws and precedents. It’s like the FBI where any president has no direct control.
FYI the Cincinnati IRS office, in charge of tax exempt organizations and governed by statements of law, was in error interpreting the precise wording applied to many conservative organizations applying for tax exemption. The law is clear–no tax exempt can use any funds for political action or activities. That office misinterpreted ONE WORD in the law which reversed that standard applied to foundations and other tax exempts for a very long time, preceding Obama and the 21st century.
The interpretation was caught by somebody, the understanding of the law was reversed, and organizations recently ruled tax exempt were reviewed because they engaged in politics. I guess their exemptions were removed, leading people with scant knowledge of the situation like you, to think Obama was ‘hounding’ those tax exempts when it was not. You should take under advisement your very words to change your thinking–see only the things you want to see. You stopped watching and reading and got only half a story.

        1. Trish P says:

There was collusion between Obama’s white house and the IRS (many meetings at the white house before and during when the conservatives were denied and harassed about their applications). That’s why Lois Lerner “took the fifth.” She didn’t want to incriminate herself (all her meetings at the white house and her “understanding” of what Obama and his advisers wanted). You talk about the “rule of law” (that’s a joke with all the illegal things the Obama administration did and got away with). The Judiciary Committee hearing wanted to prosecute/impeach IRS Commissioner, Mr. Koskinen, who DEFIED A CONGRFESSIONAL ORDER THAT DEMANDED ALL OF FORMER IRS SENIOR EWECUTIVE LOIS LERNER’S EMAILS BE PRESERVED as part of an investigation into tea party targeting.

Greg Roseman, a Deputy Director at the Internal Revenue Service, didn’t make any friends on the Hill last month when he refused to testify at a House Oversight Committee hearing. It was the second time in recent memory that an IRS employee had invoked a Fifth Amendment right not to testify: Roseman follows hot on the heels of Lois Lerner’s invocation of the Fifth Amendment a month earlier in the wake of the IRS tax exempt scandal.

Nine Obama administration officials also invoked the Fifth Amendment. Here’s a list in case you forgot:

IRS Director, Lois Lerner who pled the Fifth Amendment TWICE over allegations that the IRS had “targeted conservative nonprofit groups for additional scrutiny of their applications for tax-exempt status.”

The first time Lerner plead the Fifth Amendment was in May 2013, while appearing before the Senate Finance Committee. The second time Lerner pled the Fifth Amendment was in March 2014 while appearing before the House Oversight Committee.

In April 2012, General Services Administration (GSA)’s Jeffrey Neely invoked his Fifth Amendment right when the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee called Neely to testify about improper spending.

Neely also invoked his Fifth Amendment right after photos emerged of Neely sitting in a bathtub with wine at GSA’s Western Regions Conference in 2010 in Las Vegas, which spent $822,000 in taxpayer money.

Patrick Cunningham, chief of the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona, invoked his Fifth Amendment in January 2012 in connection with the Fast and Furious scandal.

Deputy Director of the IRS Greg Roseman pled the Fifth in January 2013, after Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) started asking Roseman about “panel findings that he helped a friend procure potentially $500 million worth of IRS contracts.”

Then there is the former State Department Employee Bryan Pagliano, who famously invoked his Fifth Amendment right over his involvement in setting up Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server in September 2015.

Former Department of Veterans Affairs officials John Sepulveda, Diana Rubens, and Kimberly Graves, as well as former Environmental Protection Agency official John Beale, all invoked their Fifth Amendment rights as well.

And NSA Director James Clapper should have faced charges for LYING TO CONGRESS in March, 2013–an admittedly false statement to Congress when he responded, “No, sir” and “not wittingly” to a question about whether the National Security Agency was collecting “any type of data at all” on millions of Americans. A bald-faced lie. He should have been tried and jailed for perjury.

          1. DrBillLemoine says:

What you call ‘collusion’ is the top executives investigating and correcting a mistake lower down the chain, which office is located in predominantly Republican territory, Cincinnati OH. It’s really called management review; you think collusion because organizations on your political side were affected negatively in some cases. I’m not blaming Republicans for misinterpreting a simple declarative word in the entire tax exempt law, but it is suspicious, though not in the way you think. What you call ‘harassment’ is actually correcting the application of law and pursuing such changes wherever they occurred–mostly in the articles and actions of right wing PACs. I say PACs because that’s a different tax category–not exempt–than foundations and charities are. You are pursuing part of the story, a partisan viewpoint, rather than rule of law. And yes, Obama’s administration had a distinct lack of corruption compared to Bush and now Trump. If there was any ‘tax exemption’ anomaly, congress pursued it as is their obligation to America and the law. Same now with Trump Russian collusion and coverup. You seem, wrongly, to believe that laws apply sometimes and then only when executives want. It doesn’t work that way in practice and under Constitution and federal laws, not to mention departmental procedures all of which govern actions here including personal right of avoiding self-incrimination by 5th Amendment. You need a course in executive prerogatives and rights under the Constitution and your sources are not filling the gap, so you have these wild accusations contrary to the law and common practice.
Anyone who violates the law and/or Constitution should be pursued and brought to justice. Believe that Republican congresses HAVE pursued your issues and come to naught, sometimes with multiple exhaustive studies like Benghazi. When do YOU give it a drink and let it go because your concerns are like ancient history. We have far more important concerns today with Trump and company.
BTW your charge of NSA collecting personal citizen data is false; it’s called metadata which is phone numbers and times of calls like old time phone bills once printed monthly for you. Only with FISA judge approval of a warrant, meaning probably cause of terrorism, could real phones be tapped with court supervision, not the witch hunting motives you seem to be thinking. Meta data isn’t data.

          2. Dad of 3 says:

Distinct lack of corruption. Right that’s why the treasury and justice departments funneled all those monies to leftist organizations when they took others to court. Just because u find a new way to deter money to your friends that should have gone to the treasury. Doesn’t mean it’s still not unethical. A new form of embezzlement

          3. DrBillLemoine says:

What ‘monies’ do you mean? There are drug laws allowing confiscation of dealers’ property by the government. This isn’t drug dealing but IRS rebranding falsely branded tax exempt agencies because they are really political action committees. So far as I know, no money was confiscated and ‘funneled’ anywhere. Where did you get that nonsense? Who ever told you that bald face lie, and why do you believe them?

          4. DrBillLemoine says:

There is no review of this website to be found, yet you believe what they print? This is a big difference between the parties, between conservatives and liberals, between you and me. I wouldn’t believe your source; mine is MSM which corroborates all items aired as reliable and valid.

          5. Dad of 3 says:

Typical. It can’t be true if it talks bad about the previous admin. You have the key words there. Google it and do the research yourself. All the major outlets had the info. Just few had it front page. Nevertheless billions of dollars. Not here to do your work for u

          6. DrBillLemoine says:

You missed the point. This site is not validated by reviews anywhere. Not necessarily reliable or valid or factual. MSM corroborate all facts before publication, not on this site. Why don’t you use ‘major outlets’?
Never heard of money appropriated like you say. Probably faux news.

          7. Dad of 3 says:

I missed no point. Many news organizations had the story

          8. DrBillLemoine says:

Your aversion to MSM is typical of hyper-partisans today on the far right, ala Trump. That’s a fatal flaw in your argument, unless of course it’s your thinking, analytical ability, scientific and management skills that are lacking.

          9. Dad of 3 says:

I read MSM Media all the time. And I don’t have to resort to personal attacks on someone’s abilities to make a point. Unlike you. Do your own homework. As I said the MSM had the Info. But they buried it

          10. DrBillLemoine says:

Any charges I may make depend on your own written words. If that’s personal attacks, so be it. Some are not equipped to analyze, synthesize and make conclusions from data, even if they find reliable and valid information. And of course you must be reminded how the torrent of faux news and distractions, tweets and rallies, may bury some otherwise significant news. As a reader of the New York Times, you have probably run across my letters to the editors which both editors and readers find stellar and receive kudos, unlike the rubes who mostly post here. Ditto, WSJ, Los Angeles Times and more. You can run off at the typewriter but that doesn’t make your words significant.

          11. StingraySFO says:

Sorry again Dr. Bill. The MSM has been debunked so many times it makes one’s head spin. They’ve also been forced on many stories to correct and/or retract them entirely. Guess you missed all of that.

          12. Worried Vet says:

It wont matter they are trolls brainwashed and if you gave them undeniable proof they would call it a lie. Obama is a god to these idiots and its this blindness that is destroying this country. They think liberal policies will bring a utopia like free health care and free college. Its all a lie the feds cant deliver period because were broke and even the rich elite liberals wont allow a 100 percent taxes to pay for free stuff. They cant collect enough in taxes for all they promise period. Its simple math and liberals dont seem to be able to do basic math. This progressive liberal push is all about contol. If you want a communist country keep letting this happen. Antifa says its against fascism when they use hitler tactics. Liberals are trying to erase their racist history and these sheep are helping them do it. Go research who started the kkk wanted slavery voted against civils rights who voted for jim crow laws and had a grand dragon of the kkk in the senate for decades and was hillarys mentor and hero. He has hundreds of things named after him so will we demand they be erased from history or ignore his racist history because he was a democrat. Wake up and unite before its to late. They want this divide to regain power period and to control us. They think they know better how to run our lives than we do and your a blind sheep headed to slaughter if you really think their on your side. Dont cry when your starving and they control us like North Korea does their population.

          13. DrBillLemoine says:

I’ve spent many hours discovering what the truth was from many sources, administration notwithstanding. You by contrast seem much more partisan. BTW sources count and yours seem much more political than factual. What were your ‘major outlets’ that I might have missed?

          14. NM Leon says:

You have zero relationship with truth, Bullschitte Billy. You have been telling bald faced lies on these forums for years now and we all know it.

You can provide some amusement for some of us sometimes, but NOBODY believes you. Not a single upvote in years.

          15. Trish P says:

BS that the whole problem with IRS targeting conservative groups was “a simple declarative word” in the entire tax exemp law.

Clapper later ADMITTED he didn’t tell the truth. More than metadata is collected. How else did the NYT and others print word for word President Trump’s phone calls to foreign leaders?

          16. DrBillLemoine says:

Don’t confuse IRS tax exempt issues with NSA data collection issues. I don’t know what you are talking about. The word I reference was interpreted as permissive of political action by tax exempts which is the opposite of the law’s intent. See my prior explanation.
Get this correctly—no personal data is accessible by the federal government by NSA or FBI without a warrant approved by a judge for cause.
The last issue ought to be plain if you are paying attention to current news. Also you are confusion domestic surveillance which is limited with intelligence eavesdropping abroad. There may be an overlap with American citizens caught talking to foreign agents tapped by the government for national security. We listen to a lot abroad without limit, unless Americans are involved which is a different set of laws.

          17. Trish P says:

Get THIS correctly: President Trump’s phone calls to foreign leaders were transcribed word for word and given to the New York Times. I’m NOT confusing IRS tax exempt issues with NSA data collection issues. My point was Obama and the Democrats didn’t care about the rule of law when he was in power. MANY in the Obama administration claimed the 5th amendment against self incrimination when Congress wanted answers. Others should have been prosecuted for perjury.

          18. DrBillLemoine says:

Your point is/was noted and rejected. Conversations abroad are not prohibited from national security eavesdropping. If Americans are involved, they get recorded/transcribed too. Only important or suspicious people and contacts are involved–world leaders, suspected terrorists and the like. The leaders don’t like it; the criminals hate it, but nothing wrong to be prepared security-wise. What’s your problems with national security? Something to hide?
Obama was the most corruption free administration in recent memory. Don’t confuse congress and states with that. It was noteworthy high ethics.
If congress has a problem with someone AND EVIDENCE, it can prosecute, but didn’t. Again it’s noteworthy that they did NOT, to everyone but you extremists.
You say ‘many’ but just who and how many is that–just a handful and strictly constitutionally guaranteed, something you ignore as well.

          19. Trish P says:

“Obama was the most corruption free administration in recent memory”?!?!?!? Are you brain-dead?
His was the MOST corrupt administration in U.S. history:
            1. Benghazi (allowed it to happen, refused to help during attack, refused to say where he was during the attack, lied about a video causing attack, left early the next morning for a fundraiser, etc.).
            2. Fast & Furious (A.G. was first to be held in contempt of congress for refusing to give demanded documents; lied under oath to congressional committee (Obama hid records by giving him cover claiming “Executive Priveledge”);
            3. per National Review: “Disastrous policies championed by Hillary Clinton as President Obama’s secretary of state… Mrs. Clinton’s lying to Congress and the American people — this time regarding a matter some of us have been trying for years to get answers about: What mission was so important the United States kept personnel in the jihadist hellhole of Benghazi in 2012 (In an online posting, al-Qaeda stated its intent to attack the Red Cross, the British, and then the Americans in Benghazi. The goals were accomplished in order.)? Specifically, did that mission involve arming the Syrian “rebels” — including al-Qaeda and forces that became ISIS — just as, at Mrs. Clinton’s urging, our government had armed Libyan “rebels” (again, jihadists) to catastrophic effect?
            4. Iran disasterous “agreement” (since he couldn’t get the votes for a treaty), which did not allow the U.S. to verify compliance and illegally paid a ransom for our sailors (they weren’t allowed to leave, until the plane with millions of other country’s currencies was received). Ben Rhodes admitted he lied to get it passed, that journalists were stupid and would believe whatever he said to get it done.
            5. Obama purposely lying to the the so-called Affordable Care Act passed (“You can keep your doctor. Period. You can keep your health care plan. Period. Families will save an average of $2500 a year.”) All lies. Cost the average American triple that amount.
            6. His administration illegally unmasking many getting their emails and phone records. Susan Rice lied when first asked about her unmasking (and lied about the Benghazi video).
            7. Obama knowingly emailing Hillary Clinton on her unsecured server through a personal account (not .gov) using an alias. He knew she had an unsecured server.
            8. His administration’s DOJ not recusing herself after she secretly met with former President Bill Clinton on the tarmac, just before her department was to rule on Hillary Clinton’s destruction of emails after they were subpoenaed, etc. Only reason we found out about it was because a local reporter caught this on the scene. The FBI covered up related emails about this meeting (we later found out because of Judicial Watch’s lawsuit through the Freedom of Information Act–but all important info was blacked out).
            9. According to the FBI director James Comey, she demanded he refer to the DOJ investigation as a “matter” (not an “Investigation”) to help Hillary Clinton’s presidential run).
            10. Obama’s FBI refused to have Hillary testify under oath and be recorded and allowed her to have her personal lawyer present.
            11. Many in the Obama Administration had alias emails to hide from the Freedom of Information Act.
            12. IRS targeting conservative groups and lying to cover this up (Lois Lerner and others claiming the 5th Amendment, against self-incrimination, for their lies.) 157 meetings at the White House before and during this investigation. (By contrast the IRS chief only visited the G.W. Bush white house one time.)
A federal judge has broken loose more emails that the DOJ had surely hoped would never surface. The documents prove that Lois Lerner met with DOJ’s Election Crimes Division a month before the 2010 elections.

The DOJ withheld over 800 pages of Lerner documents citing “taxpayer privacy” and “deliberative privilege.” Yet these internal DOJ documents show Ms. Lerner was talking to DOJ officials about prosecuting tax-exempt entities (yes, criminally!) two years before the IRS conceded there was inappropriate targeting.

Ms. Lerner met with top officials from the DOJ’s Election Crimes Branch in October of 2010. Although Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the DOJ, they coughed up dirt only on court order. Even then, the DOJ handed over only two (2) pages of heavily redacted emails.

This is the tip of the iceberg of his corruption.

          20. DrBillLemoine says:

            Talk about brain-dead.
            1. Benghazi has been debunked by multiple agencies.
            2. F & F was a Bush program gone wrong, unrelated to the president.
            3. You cite National Review, a right wing mouthpiece, for truth–not.
            4. You presume Iran and P-5 +1 agreement is bogus when the opposition party wouldn’t pass it into treaty status (after 47 of those Senator sent a letter of aid and comfort to the enemy during negotiations).
            5. Obama didn’t write the law or regulations you pin negatively to him simply speaking on ACA’s behalf–which passed and most American now want continued.
            6. You confuse Republicans ‘unmasking’ (a narrow technical term) a covert spy generally with no names.
            7. President to SecState emails are not uncommon (and you give no evidence of secrecy required).
            8. Everybody knows about Lynch meeting Bill Clinton. When I accost friends anywhere in the world, I have a drink and at least greet them–no biggie, except for conspiracy theorists like you.
            9. Despite your dreams, Hillary was not a puppeteer with Comey in a separate agency.
I’m tired now of rebutting easily your ancient history tale of partisan woe that has long ago been settled. You are a dog with a bone–can’t let go.
Keep up with developments–this administration and it’s operatives are crooks, deviants and maybe traitors from all available (meaning not secret) data.

          21. StingraySFO says:

Benghazi debunked? Afraid NOT Dr. Bill. Of course related agencies and departments will cover their bases, but in the case of Benghazi I am well aware of what surrounded that incident, and what REALLY went on.
Also, seems you have much of your info coming from talking heads of media, whereas mine comes directly from those involved.

          22. DrBillLemoine says:

You realize that ‘directly from those involved’ doesn’t account for policy and management facts often. Those WERE included in congressional hearings and investigations and right wing charges debunked, as I said. You are claiming opposition to governmental findings and procedures, far more neutral and all-encompassing than ‘up close’ individuals with narrower viewpoints.
Those comprehensive studies–multiple studies–are what both was reported and was gleaned from multiple sources by me.

          23. NM Leon says:

Truly, you are a delusional idiot. The NSA records and archives every telephone conversation in the country, They are supposed to get a warrant to look at any of them, the question is whether or not they do.

Presidential conversations with foreign leaders are automatically classified. Whoever leaked transcripts to NYT committed a felony, whether an internal leak or an NSA leak.

    2. NM Leon says:

More lies from Bullschitte Billy. Under Obozo State stonewalled subpoenas and the courts ordered them to produce them. We pursue criminals whether they are political opponents or not.
