House GOP Leader Addresses Israeli Parliament, Vows Ironclad U.S. Support to Eradicate Hamas

Rep. Stefanik, the highest-ranking member of Congress to visit Israel since October 7, is Rep. Stefanik.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R., N.Y., chair of the House Republican Conference promised U.S. backing for Israel’s battle to eliminate Hamas in an emotional speech delivered Sunday before Israel’s parliament. She said that “total success” was the only outcome acceptable.

Stefanik is the highest-ranking member of the House to visit Israel after the Hamas terror attack on Oct. 7, 2009. He blasted Biden’s administration for trying to block weapons sales to Israel, and said Republicans will fight against Democratic attempts to break the historically strong alliance between the United States, and the Jewish state.

Stefanik stated, “I’ve been clear in my home country and I will continue to be clear here. There is no excuse for a president of the United States to block aid to Israel – aid that Congress has duly approved.” There is no reason to relax sanctions against Iran or pay a $6 billion ransom for the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Or to hide and dither while our friends are fighting for their lives. No excuse. “Full stop”

I want gov’t to work for the people, so I joined the DOGE Caucus. Now that Deep State, Establishment & Liberal spenders have a target on me. Fortunately, I’ve got allies like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy working with me in this mission. This is LTGen Jack Bergman. Please join me in the fight to make gov’t accountable to the citizens..

Stefanik’s remarks highlighted the growing divide among the White House, Democratic allies and the Republican Party on support for Israel in its fight to end its war against Hamas, and destroy the terror groups ability to control the Gaza Strip. The House leader described Republicans as being the last line against anti-Israel Democrats, and pro-Hamas activists who have been causing unrest in college campuses for several months. Stefanik told Stefanik, “The American people are firmly behind you.”

Stefanik stated that “these [anti-Israel] opinions, even though they are given airtime by a few radical Democrat Members of Congress, do not represent the views of Americans.” “We’re already witnessing the majority of the United States Congress – the body I represent – fight back and change the tide. Let me reiterate: America stands firmly behind Israel, and the Jewish People.”

Israeli youths take to the frontlines as they defend themselves against terrorists backed by Iran in Gaza, Lebanon and other Arab countries on Israel’s borders.

She said: “What a striking contrast: young Israelis answering the call to duty and fighting for their families and homeland, while pro-Hamas apologists in America’s so-called elite colleges are cosplaying Hamas and calling for genocide and ‘intifada,’ with signs that say ‘Final solution’, and chanting, ‘Death To America’.”

Stefanik stated that Israel’s congressional allies will not be swayed from their positions by pro-Hamas propaganda. He added that “total defeat” of terrorism was the only outcome acceptable for the war, which lasted nearly seven months.

The lawmaker warned a new wave of terror could hit America if Hamas is not completely eradicated.

Stefanik stated, “When genocidal zealots in Iran launched missiles against this city [Jerusalem], their intentions were made clear.” “Chants like ‘Death To America’ aren’t empty slogans. The words are a warning that what happened on October 7 in France could also happen in America – unless Hamas, and its Jihadist allies are eradicated.

This threat means that the fight against Hamas is not just Israel’s. It’s also our fight, and the West’s. Total victory is more than just a response to an attack. It’s about restoring the way of life. It’s about protecting the Jewish State from all threats, including those from Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas. It is the United States high honor and responsibility to support Israel in its effort.”
