Sen. Lee defends budget vote delay with Cruz

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) stands by his decision to delay with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) the final spending bill vote this past weekend, a move that many fellow Republicans have blamed for helping Democrats advance dozens of President Obama’s nominees.

“It’s always worth it when you stand behind the American people who want to make sure that these things are being voted on,” Lee said on Fox’s “America’s Newsroom.”

“When we have a president who engages in acts of lawlessness and behaves as if he were a government of one, it’s always worth it to stand up for the American people and get a vote on whether or not the president should’ve taken that action.”

Senator Lee and Senator Cruz did more to damage the republican party and the senate then anyone in the last fifty years. The idea that the congress should work together to solve the countries problems is lost on that pair.

I agree with senator Lee and senator Cruz on the budget stance. I did not agree with Speaker Boehner’s budget. Speaker Boehner has no idea of anything good for the Republican party. Instead he whispers to president Obama and the rests of the democrats. I think Speaker Boehner is bringing the Republican party down. I am so upset. No goals, and plans for the GOP.
