FOOD FIGHT: Feds take to social media to combat paltry Michelle O lunch photos

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has decided to combat the onslaught of paltry school lunch photos being posted by students on social media by publishing some of their own.

Call it an attempt to win the PR battle as the skimpy, disgusting school lunches appearing on Facebook and Twitter continue to turn the stomachs of students and parents alike.

“We have all seen those unappetizing photos of food served at school that quickly go viral. A lonesome whole wheat bun atop a sad fish fillet; a mysterious-looking meat mixture served next to an apple,” writes Deborah Kane, national director of the USDA Farm to School Program on the department’s blog.

I will bet all I have and will ever have that not one single person in charge of these programs would be found dead eating this “crap”, Period! When did government ever have the right to “manage” the thoughts, actions or eating habits of “Anyone”? As far as people being overweight, personal decisions, made by people who just think that they will not be affected by their choices, but, it is not for the government to make those decisions. If the government had not taken control of the schools, personal decision making from parents, and even “outlawed” the playground equipment” from the schools, the kids would be doing what they have done for all of history, running and playing. It amazes me that in the period of my school years 1948 to 1960 I “Never” knew of anyone with any disease, other than Polio, which was solved by private sources. And yet, now in the Facebook years, every single child is being “shielded from all illness”, by the government. How in the H*ll did “Diabetes” become so common, even with all of this “government help”??????
