MTG unloads on ‘Never Kevin Caucus’ for ‘risking the gavel’ in wake of Lauren Boebert feud
MAGA star Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R.GA) lashed at Republican colleagues for “lying and to the base” as well as risking the speaker’s hand by opposing House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy (R.CA).
Greene stressed that it was “IMPOSSIBLE” for a conservative candidate to win 218 votes and noted her disagreements with him. Her comments come on the heels of a verbal spat with Lauren Boebert (R.CO), over McCarthy.
Greene posted a 25-tweet thread that stated that “It’s also lying about the base about a ‘plan’ that doesn’t exist. There is no candidate & no way to work that I refuse to participate in and silence about.” “Reaching for the gavel and delaying everything because they don’t like somebody is not only selfish but also dangerous.”
“It’s high time that my friends from the Never Kevin Caucus stop lying to the base because they don’t like Kevin McCarthy. They don’t have a plan, and there isn’t a consensus candidate. She later stated that sabotaging the country for personal reasons isn’t brave or righteous. It’s selfishly and foolish.

Greene made parallels to the Democrats. She said they had an “amazing capacity to work together in spite their differences”.
She said, “Not us. We’re the Party of Never. It’s ruining everything.”
She said that although she was initially against McCarthy and anti-establishment, she realized that many her goals were similar to McCarthy’s. She also worried that the Never Trump movement was acting in the same way as McCarthy. Greene also cited a number of McCarthy-backed congressional initiatives, including an investigation into COVID-19’s origins and a “Church Style Investigation” into CIA and FBI abuses.
She continued, “The most underrated thing about Kevin McCarthy’s thinking & feeling after being wrongly politically targeted by J6 just like Trump and all of you after being wrongfully rejected by Corporate donors for objecting to J6 and his stance toward the Chamber of Commerce for being woken up and treated towards Conservative values.”
McCarthy has made several overtures to Greene in recent months. She sometimes defends her from the media and promises to reinstate her on congressional committees. The Democrats had removed her from committee assignments last spring. He invited her to an earlier rollout of his Republican agenda.
Although former President Donald Trump backed McCarthy, the California congressman has seen significant defections from the 222-member Republican Congress. He will likely need 218 votes in order to win the election. Greene’s close allies, like Rep. Matt Gaetz (R.FL), have strongly opposed McCarthy and have now reaffirmed their support.
Boebert, who is open to voting for McCarthy if she meets her demands on Monday, lamented that she was not aligned in the past with Greene but she does not agree with her on “Jewish Space Lasers.” This refers to a conspiracy post Greene shared via social media many years ago. Greene claimed that she was misinformed and deleted the post.
Lauren Boebert has been supported and donated to my support. Donald Trump donated and supported Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy donated and supported Lauren Boebert. “She just barely made it by 500 votes,” Greene retorted at Boebert after the swipe. “She childishly put me under the bus just for a low sound bite.”
