A media group, funded by leftist billionaire George Soros, is implementing a global plan in order to press social media platforms of Big Tech to censor content more before the November presidential election.

Media Research Center said Tuesday that the group Free Press was leading the charge against free speech online. The Media Research Center described Free Press, not to be mistaken with The Free Press media outlet helmed Bari Weiss as an activist group disguised as a journalistic operation. It uses its substantial resources to pressure the federal government and Big Tech in order to silence conservative speech.

Free Press, which MRC claimed was responsible for getting former President Donald Trump blocked from Twitter, boasted in a press release about a “letter sent by a coalition” of over 200 “civil society organizations, researchers and journalists” to heads of Big Tech firms such as Google. Instagram, Discord. X and TikTok. The groups demanded that the companies reduce the “interventions required to keep online platforms safe and healthy,” and take “swift actions” to protect democracy.

MRC’s research revealed that Soros stuffed the coffers at least 45 signatories between 2016 and 2020 with $80.7 millions.

The letter claimed that it was written to reduce “real-world harms,” and “violent attempts to overthrow democracy governments” as 60 countries prepare for elections in 2024. But, it seems its real purpose was to pressurize Big Tech companies into silencing speech the left hates.

The MRC reported that “Even worse was the implied target of the letter, which is to interfere in the U.S. elections 2024.” This development is in line with Soros’ brand. He has donated millions of his ungodly wealth to groups that seek to interfere in elections through stifling of online speech.

The letter included six demands for the Big Tech Companies. One of them was to invest “in greater platform-integrity by reinstating election integrity policies, including moderating content surrounding the Big Lie” as defined by the co-signatory Brennan Center for Justice which received funding from Soros. This is the idea that the 2020 elections were stolen from Trump.

Global Witness was the recipient of the largest amount of funding from Soros, according to the MRC. Global Witness is known for its efforts to pressure Facebook and TikTok into increasing censorship before the midterm elections in 2022. The MRC reported that Global Witness received $20.3 million in funding from Soros between the years 2016 and 2022.

The MRC revealed that a House Judiciary Committee probe exposed Strategic Dialogue as a signatory who received $3.1m from Soros in the period between 2017 and 2022. They were found to have co-authored a blacklist of “hate groups”, which was funded by Soros and targeted “conservatives” and faith-based organisations.

The MRC stated that “the fact that Free Press was at the tip this Soros-connected spear should be of concern to every American.” The obsession of Free Press with censorship, and the control over the Internet can’t be overstated.
