Jill Biden, First Lady, will host a Veterans Day Breakfast at the White House. She will announce new support for children living with veterans and wounded service personnel.

Hidden Helpers Coalition is an initiative that aims to support young people who are caregivers.

Biden will be joined by Vice President Kamala Harris, her husband Douglas Emhoff, after the Friday breakfast at Arlington National Cemetery.

In a video message, President Joe Biden stated that “Our veterans have defended democracy, protected our posterity and carried the burden of war on our behalf since our nation’s foundation.” Many still bear the invisible and physical scars from their service.

The Democratic president released this video because he traveled to Egypt on Thursday night, where he attended an annual United Nations conference about climate change. Biden made the legislation, also known as PACT Act, a priority after Beau Biden, his eldest son, died from brain cancer while serving in Iraq near a burn pit.
