Conservatives applauded Senator Tom Cotton, R. Ark., for dressing down Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, in a viral video.

Cotton criticizes the businessman for asking GOP help to stop the Democrat Party from regulating his company after it silenced conservative employees.

This video was taken at a Nov. 29 Senate Judiciary Committee meeting. It featured Cotton slamming McMullen’s request for his assistance to stop Democrat lawmakers from preventing the merger with Albertsons grocery store.

Fox Business reported that Cotton was disinterested in Kroger’s assistance, particularly after the company was sued in Arkansas by two former employees who refused to wear aprons supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Senator McCain stated that Republicans don’t want to help companies that “silence conservatives or center-right voters.”

Cotton addressed McMullen and said, “You know what, this situation reminds you a bit of the situation Big Tech businesses have found themselves in over recent years.” They fear regulation from our Democratic friends or action by Biden’s administration. They expect the Republicans to stand up for them, as they are more supportive of free enterprise than they are.

He continued, “I have warned them for years that they should not silence conservatives or center-right voters… If they discriminate against them within their company, they probably shouldn’t come to ask Republican senators for the water for them whenever their Democratic friends want them to regulate them/block their mergers.”

The senator said that McMullen was not interested in his assistance and concluded: “I’ll just say this: I’m sorry. Good luck.

Twitter’s conservatives applaud Cotton’s criticism of the apparently woke grocery chain.

Christopher Bedford, a conservative commentator, tweeted: “Exactly right. Kroger’s CEO forces his shelf-stockers, and checkout workers to follow left-wing training to work for him. He then gets nearly 400x their salaries. Send him to his Democrat friends for scraps if he asks for more power and money.
