Biden Met Chinese Energy Bosses That Did Business With Hunter: Ex-Associate

Former business associates of Hunter Biden have claimed that President Joe Biden was present during a meeting between the chairman of an energy company in China with which Hunter Biden had done business.

Rob Walker gave testimony in a closed door hearing before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees at the beginning of this month, as part the House’s impeachment investigation against President Biden.

Newsweek contacted a representative of President Biden by email to get a comment.

The House of Representatives, by a vote of 221 to 212 on December 13, voted to open an impeachment investigation into the President. Republicans claim that Joe Biden, while serving as Vice President between 2009 and 2017 used his influence improperly to support the business of his son. They suggest he benefited financially.

The White House described the GOP impeachment attempt as “sad and pathetic” and a waste everyone’s precious time.

Walker has been interviewed by investigators since then. Walker, who did not confirm a date, said that, according to the transcript of the interview, Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and other business partners met at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., when the elder Biden served as vice president.

I don’t recall the exact date, but the former Vice President stopped by when I was in Washington, D.C. Walker testified that they were eating lunch.

Walker said that the former vice president wasn’t there for the whole time. Walker said that he was only there for 10 minutes. He spoke nicely, you know normal pleasantries. He probably spoke the most and left.

He claimed that the meeting occurred before State Energy HK Limited, a CEFC-linked company, gave his company Robinson Walker $3 million. He said Joe Biden wasn’t involved in the deal but that the company took advantage of Hunter Biden as the son to the vice president, by using his letterhead.

He said that the day after Walker had received payment, he wired James Gilliar $1,065,000, an associate of the Biden family. He wired the Bidens incremental payments totaling approximately $1,065,000 over a period of several months.

The chairman of the Oversight Committee and the chairman the Judiciary Panel of the Republican House of Representatives, Jim Jordan, announced last month that Hunter Biden would be deposed on February 28, following the testimony of several Biden family and associates.

In the past few months, Republicans also tried to impeach other Democrats.
