Former President Donald Trump slammed fellow Republican Mazi Pili — claiming that she lost the special election on Tuesday to replace disgraced former Rep. George Santos, because she did not endorse him as president.

Trump criticized Pilip in Truth Social, and demanded “a real candidate” to take on Tom Suozzi (Democrat), who defeated Pilip for the New York 3rd Congressional District Seat.

Pilip, a Nassau County legislator aged 47 — a registered Democrat running on the Republican ticket — received 46.1% votes in the race behind Suozzi who won 53.8% of the vote with 93% ballots counted Tuesday night.

Suozzi (61) previously represented a large part of the Long Island Queens district for six consecutive years.

Trump posted on his social media that Republicans “just don’t seem to learn.” But maybe she is still a Democrat. “I have a nearly 99% endorsement success rate in primaries and a good number of General Elections as well. But just watched this foolish woman, Mazi Pilip, run in a race in which she did not endorse me and tried’straddling the fence’, when she could have easily won if she knew anything about MODERN DAY Politics in America.”

The ex-president claimed his district supporters stayed at home and didn’t cast a vote because Pilip wasn’t a member of the MAGA group and did not endorse or seek him out for the presidential election in 2024.

Trump wrote, in capital letters: “Give us an actual candidate for the November election in your district.” “Suozzi is a man I know well and can be easily defeated!”

Suozzi’s win reduces the Republican majority in the House from 219 to 213.

In his victory speech on Tuesday, the Democrat — who had tried to portray himself as a candidate that would build bridges between parties — took a jab at Trump.

He said: “Let’s send out a message to the friends who are running Congress today: Stop running around and run the country for Trump,” he said. It’s time to start finding common ground and delivering for the United States of America.
