Harvard Poll: Trump Leads by 5; 63% Say Biden Too Old

In the Harvard Center for American Political Studies’ latest poll, the majority of respondents are concerned that President Joe Biden may be too old to serve as president (63%), and mentally unfit (57%). The presumptive GOP candidate Donald Trump still maintains a 5-point advantage over the rest of the field.

Trump leads Biden in the head-tohead match-up by 3 points (47%-44%), but this lead grows when you add the other candidates, as the third-party contenders are able to cut into Trump’s lead while Trump remains steady.

The complete field results according to the Harvard CAPS Harris Poll for March 20-21.

Biden’s declining numbers reflect a lack in confidence about his age and mental health. 63% of respondents said that he was too old to serve as president, and 57% stated that he was unfit. A plurality of 48 percent also said that Biden’s performance as president is worsening as time goes on.

According to 60% of respondents, electing a mentally unfit president is “dangerous”.

Biden’s “plausible denial” is also questioned, as whistleblower Tony Bobulinski repeatedly states: 56% of people say Biden lied when he said he had no involvement in Hunter Biden’s dealings. 71% believe Biden would be impeachable if he helped his son secure business deals in China, Russia and Ukraine.

The Harris Poll and HarrisX conducted the Harvard CAPS survey among 2,111 registered voters on March 20-21. The release did not give any margin of error.
