Former First Lady Michelle Obama is on the campaign trail of Vice President Kamala Harris. But critics have branded her “racist” or “sexist”, and say that her words reflect more about herself than about Harris.
Obama avoided the possibility that Harris, who was catapulted into the top spot of the Democratic ticket by the tidal waves of President Joe Biden being ousted from the race, was simply a weak candidate and argued instead that the voters could be the only weak link in this chain. She claimed that this was due to the racism and sexism of the electorate.

Obama began by asking, “Why on earth is this race so close?” I lay awake in bed at night, wondering what the hell is going on. It’s obvious to me that it isn’t a question of whether Kamala was ready for this moment, because she has shown that she is. The real question, however, is whether we, as a nation, are ready for this moment.

Obama did not stop there. She continued to criticize Trump, implying that his supporters are at least “indifferent”, to the horrible things he will bring to the Oval Office should he be elected for a second term.
“I hope you’ll forgive me if I am a bit frustrated because some of us choose to ignore Donald Trumps gross incompetence, while Kamala is asked to dazzle us every step of the way. I hope you’ll forgive me for being a bit angry about our indifference to Donald Trump’s unpredictable behavior. His apparent mental decline, history as a convicted felony, a known Slumlord, and a predator found responsible for sexual abuse. “We pick apart Kamala’s answers in interviews that he hasn’t the courage to give,” she said, on a Michigan-based stage hours after Trump’s three-hour Joe Rogan Interview — which Harris refused — was broadcast.

Megyn Kel slammed Obama for this comment, arguing no one expected Harris “to dazzle” anyone – they only wanted a coherent response to a few questions about policy.
