Breitbart news exclusively learned that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabrield identified approximately $20 million in annual savings for taxpayers after ordering her staff to reduce all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs (DEI), in coordination with the executive order by President Donald Trump ending DEI.

Breitbart News was the only source to confirm that Gabbard’s directive to eliminate DEIs from all the staff of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence will save taxpayers almost $20 million a yearly.

According to this official, Gabbard ordered ODNI employees to stop attending conferences that were not central to ODNI’s mission or did not have “defined outcomes.” This second order will save taxpayers an additional $3 million per year.

Gabbard ordered a review of any ODNI staff not based at the ODNI headquarters, Washington, DC. This includes staff based in other parts of the country. The review was to determine if these people were serving the mission of protecting safety and security for the American people. Gabbard, per an official in the United States, will eliminate these positions if it is determined that such personnel do not meet that description. This move should save taxpayers at least $1 million each year.

Gabbard, who was confirmed last week by the Senate after a contentious process of confirmation, has already gotten to work. She delivered remarks to world leaders in Germany immediately after her confirmation. Now, she is tackling waste, fraud and abuse within the Intelligence Community.

She also plays a key role in Trump’s peace agenda. She works to end the war in Ukraine, and she focuses on peace initiatives in the Middle East.

Gabbard also met with ODNI personnel this week upon her return to the United States from Europe, and focused on gaining control of the broader Intelligence Community.
