Netanyahu pledges Hamas ‘pay full price’ for failing to return Shiri Bibas

Hamas says the remains of hostages were mixed up with human remains following an Israeli airstrike. Despite violations, the exchange will take place on Saturday as planned.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, condemned Hamas on Friday for returning the remains of an unidentified female instead of Shiri Bibias. Shiri is the mother of twin boys whose remains had been identified late Thursday evening.
Netanyahu claimed that Hamas had transferred a woman’s corps from Gaza instead of Shiri, hours after Israeli authorities confirmed their identities. He didn’t comment on the fate of Shiri.
Hamas said Friday that the remains of Bibas appeared to be mixed in with other human remains found among the rubble, after an Israeli airstrike hit the building where she was being held.

The terror group also demanded the return of Shiri’s remains, which were transferred to her place. Hamas also stressed “the necessity to progress the implementation of the rights under the agreement at all levels.” We reiterate our commitment and seriousness to all of our obligations.
Netanyahu said: “Israel bows in sorrow for the two innocent children, babies and brothers, Ariel and Kfir, as well as Oded Lifshitz, a founder of Kibbutz Nir Oz.” All three were brutally killed in Hamas’s custody during the early weeks of the conflict. Hamas’s cruelty knows no limits.
Netanyahu said Hamas acted with “unimaginable cruelty” in refusing to return Shiri and her sons. He said that instead, Hamas had placed the corpse of a Gazan female in the coffin.
The Prime Minister pledged that he would work “resolutely,” to bring Shiri back, “alongside all of our hostages — both the living and fallen.”
Sein remarks came just a day before six Israelis hostages were to be freed in a second round of negotiations. Avera Mengistu, Hisham al Sayed, and four other hostages who were classified as sick or injured, Omer Wenkert and Eliya Cohen; Tal Shoham, and Omer ShemTov, are among them. Netanyahu warned Israel that it would make Hamas pay the “full price” for what they called a violation to the agreement.
He said, “The sacred memories of Oded Lifshitz, Ariel Bibas and Kfir Bibias will forever be enshrined within the hearts of the nation.” “May God vindicate their blood.” We will never forget them.
The military confirmed the swift and conclusive identification of Kfir Bibas and Ariel Bibas. The IDF stated that intelligence confirmed their brutal murder.
Officials stressed that Israel would ensure the world knew “the baby and child were murdered on the basis of solid intelligence, not only forensic examination.” Al-Mujahedeen is an extremist Salafi organization that held the Bibas Family, and their murder occurred in November 2023.”
