Donald Trump: We Don’t Want a Long-Term War with Iran

President Trump Clarifies U.S. Stance on Conflict with Iran

During a discussion with Brian Glenn from Real America’s Voice, President Donald Trump emphatically stated that his administration is not aiming for an extended military conflict with Iran. Addressing the concerns of his Make America Great Again supporters, he emphasized, “We’re not looking for a long-term war. We’re looking– I only want one thing–Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That’s it.”

Trump has consistently voiced this stance over his decades-long public presence, reiterating, “I’m not looking long-term, short-term, and I’ve been saying that for 20 years. I’ve been saying it as a civilian, who got a lot of publicity, people would cover it.”

Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the President added, “Very simply, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That’s it. It’s not a question of anything else, and if you did, you wouldn’t have much of a country because they would use it on us and use it on other people and they’d be a terror all over the world.”

Actions Against Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

After setting a 60-day deadline for Iran, which expired last Thursday, to dismantle its nuclear program, the pressure increased with Israel initiating attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and other strategic locations. Trump confidently proclaimed on Tuesday, “We have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” revealing that his team was even aware of the exact whereabouts of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader.

As a retired Marine Corps General with nearly 50 years of service to the USA, I’m telling you to never underestimate our adversary. Contrary to media reports, they’ve got a plan to sabotage GOP efforts and distract you. They want you to abandon America’s Golden Age. Don’t let them succeed. Stand with me, Jack Bergman, and let’s defeat the left on Capitol Hill!

When questioned on the possibility of striking Iranian nuclear sites, Trump gave a non-committal and slightly sardonic response. “You don’t seriously think I’m going to answer that question? ‘Will you strike the Iranian nuclear component, and what time exactly, sir? Sir, would you strike it? Would you please inform us so we can be there and watch?’” he mocked. His evasiveness was clear as he continued, “I mean, you don’t know that I’m going to do it. You don’t know. I may do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do,” leaving the international community in suspense about his next move.

This firm stance underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring that Iran does not develop nuclear capabilities that could threaten the stability and security of the United States and its allies.
