Ex-FBI Agent Says IRS Whistleblower Was Right, Bidens Were Tipped Off During Investigation

Former FBI agent Gary Shapley, who was a supervisory IRS special agent and whistleblower in the Hunter Biden investigation, has confirmed a major claim by Gary Shapley.

In a closed session on 17 July, the retired FBI supervisory agent (whose name has not been released) testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. The 65-page transcript was released by the committee on Monday.

The former agent backed up Shapley’s claim that the FBI had informed President Joe Biden’s transition team about its intention to interview Hunter. The agent claimed he received notification the night before the interview, which was scheduled for December 8, 2020. He said the Biden team had been warned.

The testimony of Supervisor No. 2 was refreshing to me. “I believe that he is correct. “I believe I, you know, now that I’m in the right frame of mind, it is clear to me that I was very upset when I first learned about this,” the agent said.

The transition team was not the only one warned. The Secret Service, who at the time had a guard detail protecting Hunter, also received a warning. Former agent stated that he did not believe the Secret Service would be informed the morning of the scheduled interview. However, he felt it was justified to warn the Secret Service about the FBI’s intention to interview Hunter.

When asked to clarify why he was upset, the former Agent replied: “I thought it was people who didn’t need to know our intentions.” He was unable to recall exactly which members of the Biden Transition Team were told.

Former agent Shapley said that they were instructed by Hunter Biden that they should wait for a call to conduct an interview. However, the phone call never arrived and the interview was never conducted.

Two IRS agents, who investigated the junior Biden’s finances and overseas dealings with the FBI and Department of Justice(DOJ), have claimed that the DOJ was influenced by politics.

Shapley, along with Joseph Ziegler (the lead case agent in the Hunter Biden Case and a 13 year veteran of the IRS) testified to the House Oversight Committee about their concerns in July.

“I have seen the erosion of ethical standards and abuse of power which threatens our nation. In this context, I’ve chosen to bring these actions to light and expose the responsible parties. Ziegler said, “I recognize that although I was there at the beginning of this investigation and closely involved with it for about five years – that I am only a part of the tale.” “My goal is to address the systemic issues that allowed misconduct to flourish. This is not an appeal for blame, but rather for accountability and reform.”
