Marjorie Taylor Greene Threatens GOP Colleagues over Ethics Reports: ‘Put It All Out There’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, slammed Republican colleagues who were talking about releasing reports on Matt Gaetz’s (RFL) ethics. She told them to “put everything out there.”

Greene wrote in a post for X that if “her Republican colleagues in the House and Senate were going to release Ethics reports “and rip people apart” from their own party who President-elect Donald Trump selected to be part of his cabinet then they should put it ALL out there.”

Trump announced recently that Gaetz would be his choice to serve as Attorney General for his upcoming administration.

Green wrote: “For my Republican House and Senate colleagues, if you are going to release the ethics reports, and tear apart the one that Trump appointed, then make it all available for the American public to see,” Green said. “Yes.. All the ethics reports and allegations including the one that I filed.”

Greene went on to say: “all of your sexual harassment claims and assaults that were secretly resolved paying victims with taxpayer money, the entire Jeffrey Epstein file, tapes, recording, witness interviews, but not only those, there is more. Epstein wasn’t/isn’t the sole asset. Let’s dance together in the sun if we are going to. “I’ll make it sure we do.”

Greene’s posting comes at a time when the House Ethics Committee will reportedly meet on Wednesday to discuss whether or not a report about Gaetz should be made public.

Breitbart’s Bradley Jaye reported previously that House Ethics Committee Chair Michael Guest (R – MS) had indicated the committee was likely to ignore House Speaker Mike Johnson (R – LA)’s advice not to release an ethics report about an investigation into Gaetz.

Members of Congress are not very interested in the Ethics Committee, which lacks a legislative authority and does not allow its members to collect campaign funds from donors. It is seen as a burden by most members. The members of the Ethics Committee are appointed by their respective party leader, and they usually do so because they have shown loyalty to that leader.

Johnson told reporters that “the Ethics Committee will strongly request” that they not release the report, adding that this was “not how things are done in the House”.
