Donald Trump hinted again at the possibility of a third term. He said he wasn’t “100% sure” that the Constitution forbids him from doing so.

Trump has hinted at the possibility of going beyond the two-term president limit. While he does so in a humorous manner, his remarks are still provocative.

Trump said to a group of Congressional Republicans that he was not allowed run again.

Trump, laughing, turned to House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La) and said: “I don’t know if I can run again. Mike? “I better not involve you in that argument.”

Trump’s second term in the White House began a week before. He is the only president to have served two terms in U.S. History that were not consecutive.

The 22nd Amendment of the Constitution was ratified by Congress in 1951, partly in response to Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four-term presidency from 1933-1945.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) introduced last week a resolution that was incredibly unlikely to pass, but would allow Trump to run for another term.

Trump has hinted at extending his stay a few times and even joked about it Saturday during a rally held in Nevada.

He added, to the cheers of the audience, “Headlines on fake news.”

In November, Trump told House Republicans that he would not run again unless they said, “He’s great, let’s figure out something else.” ‘”

Trump said to a group of conservative Christians, “Christians get out and vote.” Just this once. “Four more years and it will be fixed. It’ll be great, you won’t need to vote anymore.”
