This tragic event resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals and left 19 others injured. Additionally, six people are currently unaccounted for.
Cause and Impact of the Explosion
The cause of the explosion remains unknown at this time. The force of the blast was so severe that it shattered windows in a warehouse located more than two miles from the site, as captured in a video posted by a local resident. The Gaomi Youdao Chemical Co., where the explosion took place, employs over 500 workers and is involved in the production of pesticides and medical chemicals.
