NATO in 2024 to conduct biggest military exercise since Cold War in Germany, Poland, Baltics

The Financial Times, citing sources within the alliance, reports that 31 NATO countries, including Sweden, will conduct the largest NATO military exercise since the Cold War in 2024.

The exercise, which will simulate repelling Russian aggression towards one of the members of the Alliance, is expected to involve 41,000 military personnel and between 500 and 700 air combat missions. More than 50 ships, from all NATO states, as well as Sweden, are also expected to participate.

In February and March of 2024, the exercises will take place in Germany and Poland as well as in the Baltic States.

The exercises will have the latest technology and use real geographical data by the allied military to create realistic scenarios.
