Colorado Democrats Launch Program to Give Free Healthcare to Illegal Aliens

Colorado Democrats are celebrating the new law which will be in effect from January 1, and will provide free Medicaid coverage for illegal migrants who are pregnant, as well as their children.

CBS News reports that the Colorado taxpayers will pay up to $51,000,000 in the first year for the “Cover All Coloradans” program. This includes prenatal, postpartum, and physical, dental and vision care as well as mental health services for children.

Democrat Gov. Jared Polis’ administration has partnered with immigrant activists to inform migrants about the program. They can then sign up.

Bryan Rodriguez, Denver Health Program manager, said that he, along with his operatives, are rushing to tell migrants that they will not be held against them if the Trump administration ramps up its efforts in January.

Is Israel’s fate tied to Syria?

Syria has fallen, but we are still far from seeing the last of the hostages returned. Our brave soldiers must fight to secure Israel’s borders, rid the region of emboldened attackers all over the Middle East, and adapt to the escalating threats from Syria, but Israel doesn’t have enough supplies to properly win this war. Can you support our IDF sons and daughters as they continue fighting for the Survival of the Promised Land?.

Rodriguez explained that the Colorado State Laws protect the privacy rights of clients who apply for public benefits.

The massive costs of this program has always been a concern for many state Republicans, who voted unsuccessfully against the expansion of Medicaid in 2022.

We as Coloradans, and our legislators, will have to decide how to pay for it. “The cost will be four times what we expected two years ago,” Republican state representative Soper said. He added that many citizens have seen their benefits reduced due to budget constraints.

Soper said, “We shouldn’t give programs and services to illegal immigrants that we don’t give to Colorado citizens.”

Colorado is not the only place where costs are increasing. Costs of providing free medical care for illegal immigrants cost the U.S. millions every year.

The House Committee on Homeland Security released a report in November 2023 that estimated that the Biden administration border crisis costs $451 billion yearly. A large portion of this expenditure goes to medical care.

Despite the fact that most illegals do not have health insurance, they are free to accumulate debts with prolonged hospital stays. Medicaid and other government benefits are available to many. To receive insurance funded by taxpayers, an illegal immigrant only needs to cross the border from Mexico into California.
