Denver Looks To Cut Hours of City Employees to Fund Illegal Immigrant Services

Denver Parks and Recreation, which employs “on-call” employees, could reduce their hourly rate to zero in order to cut the city’s budget.

Denver tries to avoid using the term “layoffs” in relation to budget cuts. Instead, they are telling hourly on-call staff that their hours may be reduced to zero.

The reduction in the hours of operation and the programs will impact the number of on-call hours that many people work, and some may even not get any. This is according to a statement by Denver Parks and Recreation director Jolon Clark. The final decision on the hours of any particular position has not yet been made.

It’s not called a layoff, but some people might not have jobs anymore.

Quite frankly, we may have won the election, but there’s still a war to be fought and the Left isn’t resting; they’re regrouping. And now that Donald Trump is Time’s Person of the Year, you can be assured their feelings have been exacerbated. They’re not singing Kumbaya in DC just yet. In fact, they’re plotting ways to embarrass him and cause him to fail. Will you join our efforts to fight back and defeat them?. We can’t wait until January 21—that will be too late!

Denver Parks and Rec informed 9NEWS that everyone, from front desk staff to coaches and lifeguards, are considered “on call employees” and could be affected by these cuts.

The statement stated that “the number of hours an individual on-call can work can vary by individual and season.” Some on-calls may support multiple functions while others might only teach one course all year.

The city is trying to save $4.3 million by cutting the department’s budget. Mike Johnston, the mayor of Toronto, said that it is still unclear which jobs and how many hours will be cut.

Johnston stated that “we haven’t made any final cuts beyond those we announced.” We’re going have to set priorities for all our departments and agencies.

Johnston warned that hourly workers would lose work when he announced the city’s budget cuts earlier in the month. We now know that they may lose their entire job.

Budget cuts of $5 million were announced for the Department of Motor Vehicles and Parks and Recreation Departments in the first round of budget cuts.

Johnston, who spoke on Fe. 9. “We’ll have hourly employees who will work fewer hours. It’s true if we reduce your working hours and you are an on-call employee. We’ll have to hire on-call workers for the summer who we wouldn’t have otherwise. “This does reduce the number of new hires we would have made.”

The same as when they were laid off, employees who reduce their working hours to a point where they don’t earn enough money can still apply for unemployment benefits. According to information posted on the website of the state, they are eligible for benefits.

He also hinted that services for newly arrived migrants will be reduced this week. However, he did not provide any details. Johnston said that the city’s budget is $180m short due to the money migrants have cost it.
