Youngkin Pushes for New Trump Inspired Tax Policy

Virginia Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin has brought “No Tax on Tips”, to the Commonwealth, and he is pushing the new policy into the upcoming state budget.

Youngkin, in an interview with Fox News, said: “I announced today our initiative to provide tax-free tips to all those hardworking folks who work in the hospitality industry and restaurants and food industries.” “This is more than 250,000 Virginians working so hard. It’s a good way to keep money in their pockets instead of giving it to the government. “No tax on tips” will become the mantra of Virginia because we’re already in surplus.

Youngkin has the support of Republicans in the State Legislature, who will fight to see the initiative pass.

Supporting the Governor’s proposal to eliminate taxes on tips should be a no brainer for anyone who is truly committed to helping hardworking Virginians. Mark Obenshain released a statement in which he said that it’s unusual to find a topic on which Donald Trump and Kamala Harris agree, but this was the only thing they both agreed upon in principle. If Democrats refuse to accept this policy, they are slapping the workers that they claim to represent in their faces. This initiative is a lifeline not only for employees in the service industry but also for restaurants that are struggling to retain and attract workers. It allows them to stay competitive in today’s difficult economy.
