Florida Politics reports that Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) has received the endorsement of 59 Florida sheriffs for his reelection campaign.

Scott has been positioned as the leader of law and order in Florida, both in the Senate and House.

Scott said in a statement that “we continue to see across the country the damaging impact” of the Democrats’ policies on crime, which coddle criminal behavior.
