Steve Bannon, a controversial political commentator, former White House Chief Strategy, says that the Murdochs’ dismissal of Fox News most popular host Tucker Carlson is more sinister than a nod to the “woke mob.” By removing Carlson from the network, while still meeting the financial obligations under his contract, Fox effectively silenced “the only populous voice” of mainstream primetime media, “through the 2020 election.”

Bannon said to Charlie Kirk that Fox News was trying to influence the presidential elections of 2024 and stop the former president Donald Trump from winning the White House again.

“Tucker has a contract.” Bannon stated that Tucker is the highest paid person in mainstream cable news, not only at Fox but also across all other networks. Bannon said, “He was negotiating with his agents and attorneys to extend his contract until 2029 at the time this occurred. The “War Room’ host predicted that Fox would “fight tooth-and-nail” to keep Carlson quiet until after the elections.

Bannon stated, “I believe you’re going to see a big fight between them and Tucker Carlson to prevent him from starting his network, or from going to Newsmax, Real America’s Voice or starting his podcast.” “They will do anything to prevent him from spreading his message. They’re trying, at the very least, to take away his platform until 2024.
