Biden roasts Marjorie Taylor Greene over fentanyl row: ‘Isn’t she amazing’

President Joe Biden ridiculed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA, for blaming her for two fentanyl death that occurred under Trump’s administration.

He spoke at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference Baltimore. In it, he discussed the party’s legislative wins and looked forward.

He laughed and said, “Isn’t she amazing?” “She was specific, saying recently that she was a mother, a poor mom who lost two children [to] fentanyl], that she killed her sons.

He added, “Well, the fascinating thing is that the fentanyl the took came during the previous administration.”

Greene referenced the testimony of Rebecca Kiessling, a conservative activist, to the House Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday. She claimed that Biden’s policies led to the deaths of Kiessling’s two sons, Caleb (20 years old) and Kyler (18 years old) in July 2020.

Greene tweeted Tuesday, “Listen to this mother who lost two children due to fentanyl poisoning. Tell the truth about her son’s murders as a result of the Biden administrations refusal of security our border and stop Cartels murdering Americans every day by Chinese fentanyl.”

Biden pointed out that those deaths occurred under Trump’s administration.

Biden mocked Republicans for standing in the way of his goals during his speech. He praised his domestic accomplishments and cast himself as an advocate against rising living costs that are roiling working class families.

“That’s why I was so happy to see so many Republicans stand up during the State of the Union when I asked them to support us in rejecting cuts for Social Security. I have been to many State of Unions, but never one like this. They all stood. He said that they wouldn’t be able forget it because it was all recorded on camera.

Biden also singled Rick Scott (Republican-Florida) out, whom he views as the poster boy for Republican plans to cut funding for Social Security/Medicare — something Scott and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy have both denied.

“And then there is Sen. Rick Scott — who has been saying for years that he wants Social Security and Medicare to be cut, and now says, “Never mind,”” Biden needled. He claims he agrees with this — he didn’t really mean what he was saying. Like I said, I believe conversion. Perhaps they discovered religion.”

Biden boasted about accomplishments such as the Inflation Reduction Act and the bipartisan infrastructure bill and many more. He also set out several high-profile agenda items for the future, including codifying Roe v. Wade and banning assault-style guns, limiting gun magazines and continuing his efforts to lower drug prices.

“Republicans can help make some of these things happen and a significant majority. He said, “It’s difficult as hell, I admit, but it’s there.” “A little more Marjorie Taylor Greene, and a few more — we’ll have a lot more Republicans running our race.”
