Feds finally release photos showing then-VP Biden meeting son Hunter’s China biz partners — days before he leaves office

The National Archives released photos of then-Vice-President Biden with two of his first son Hunter Biden’s Chinese government-linked partners. This proves that the president lied when he said he didn’t interact with foreign patrons.

These photos were released days before Biden’s retirement on January 20. They show Xi Jinping smiling as Vice President Biden, then in office, introduced his son to Chinese President Xi Jinping during that same December 2013 visit to Beijing.

Hunter Biden’s encounter with Xi, which was not widely reported, took place at a dinner Hunter called “pretty incredible” in an email he sent to Devon Archer, his former colleague, because his father and China’s powerful authoritarian leaders “were meant to spend 2hrs [but] it stretched to 7hrs.” I think they’re in love.”

Xi had just begun his “Belt and Road”, foreign-influence and investments campaign. Hunter was launching BHR Partners, a Chinese-backed state-backed firm aligned to this vision.

Ever since the serpent entered the Garden of Eden, evil has fought to overcome good. What we’ve seen infecting America these last few years is an extension of that evil. The Coalition for Jewish Values is fighting all these fronts—from Pennsylvania Avenue—to main street—to anywhere common sense and Biblical Values are under attack. Will you stand with us in this fight?.

The photos would have been explosive if released during the now closed House impeachment investigation into alleged Biden Family corruption. They show the elder Biden shaking his hand with incoming BHR Partner’s CEO Jonathan Li, and greeting Ming Xue, the managing director of the firm.

Joe Biden wrote letters of recommendation for college to both Li’s kids and, according Archer, Li was greeted by Archer during a speakerphone call when Hunter returned back to Beijing.

The Wall Street Journal reported that BHR Partners had been officially registered 12 days after Air Force Two arrived in Beijing on this trip.

The company played a key role in China’s foreign acquisitions, including its 2016 purchase of an Congolese mine for cobalt from US and Canadian firms. Cobalt is used in electric car batteries.

Hunter, now 54 years old, says that he gave up control of BHR to Kevin Morris. Morris has since loaned Hunter an amount estimated to be in excess of $6.5 million after meeting him at the 2019 Biden campaign fundraising event.

The photos were given to the America First Legal Foundation as a response to a lawsuit regarding transparency.

The group, led by Stephen Miller, adviser to Donald Trump’s president-elect, wrote that “AFL obtained these photos through our suit against the National Archives and Records Administration” (NARA) which was filed in September 2022.

The NARA planned to release the photographs on October 23rd, 2024, thirteen days before Election Day. “Lawyers and representatives of President Biden, and President Obama, delayed NARA’s releases of these photographs — as they did with the other critical records — till after Election Day.”

The latest release doesn’t document Joe Biden’s alleged interactions between his son James Biden and the associates of a second Chinese state-linked firm that James Biden is associated with.

Former Biden associate Rob Walker told Congress that Biden attended a lunch in early 2017 at Washington’s Four Seasons Hotel with CEFC China Energy chairman Ye Jianming. This was shortly before the initial $3 million went to a consortium consisting of Biden associates.

Walker explained that the funds were given as a way to thank Biden for his preliminary work while he was still Vice President.

Hunter Biden said in his impeachment testimony that he couldn’t remember his father making a cameo appearance at the lunch with Ye. Ye has since disappeared amid Xi’s purported anticorruption campaign.

In an email sent by James Gilliar, a Biden family member, in May 2017, he penciled a 10% commission for “the big guy”, referring to Joe Biden. Another former family member, Tony Bobulinski said that he had spoken with Joe Biden about the CEFC venture in the same month.

Hunter told a CEFC associate that he “sat here with my dad” in July 2017, and expected payment.

The CEFC venture focused largely on Chinese efforts to purchase US Natural Gas.

Witness testimony, including Hunter’s in February, has established that Joe Biden met his son’s and brother James Biden’s foreign associates during his vice-presidency and the years following. However the president denied it while he ran for reelection.

Biden said to a Post reporter that he had not interacted with the partners of the other candidates. This was in March, five months before the incumbent Democratic presidential nominee was forced by mutinous Democrats in July after a disastrous performance in the debates to resign. Republicans ended the impeachment investigation in August by issuing a report accusing Biden’s of abuse of power.

The Post responded by citing witness testimony from former business associates of the first family that the statement was false.

The president replied, “No.”

In December of last year, Biden denied that he had interacted with the partners of his son or brother, saying “I didn’t.” It’s a bunch lies. They’re lies. I didn’t. “They’re lies”, when asked in response to an Associated Press survey that found almost 70% of Americans including 40% of Democrats believed he acted illegally or unethically with regards to the family business.

Hunter Biden confirmed that his father had had a number interactions with his business associates including the handshake he shared with Li. However, he argued during his impeachment hearing testimony that these were only brief.

Republicans accuse Biden, as do Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson(R-La), of misleading the public regarding his role in his father’s family’s foreign consultancy work. Biden was accused of taking a more lenient approach towards China due to the fact that his family received government funding. This included fentanyl, espionage, and COVID-19.

Joe Biden interacted in a variety of ways with other foreign associates.

Hunter, as the second son of his father, organized dinners in Washington’s Cafe Milano for his father, his business associates, and their guests from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine.

Joe and Hunter Biden attended one of these dinners, where they were joined by a group of Kazakhs including Kenes Rakishev who purchased Hunter a sports car worth $142,000.

Vadym Pzharskyi was another dinner guest. He is the board advisor of Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings. This company paid Hunter $1 million in salary starting early 2014, when his father took control of the Obama and Biden administration’s policy towards Ukraine.

The Post’s bombshell report in October 2020 was based on the thank-you letter Pozharskyi wrote to Hunter. His father’s campaign, however, denied the report by claiming official calendars did not show such a meeting.
