Loudermilk unveils transcripts, disputes Cheney’s claim of transparent Jan. 6 investigation
Loudermilk’s investigation revealed that the panel on Jan. 6 withheld testimony that contradicted the claims of a key witness.
Barry Loudermilk is the chairman of the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee, which leads a Republican investigation into the Select Committee of Jan. 6. He disputed the claims of the former vice-chair of the panel that the findings of the Democrat led probe were backed by a “tremendous amount of evidence.”
In a report released this week, Loudermilk’s subcommittee charged Cheney with tampering witness testimony and requested that the FBI investigate.
Cheney replied, “Chairman Loudermilk’s interim report intentionally ignores the truth and Select Committee’s weight of evidence and fabricates lies, defamatory accusations in an effort to cover up what Donald Trump has done.”

Loudermilk’s investigation revealed that the panel of Jan. 6, had withheld from the public crucial witness testimony that contradicted key claims made Cassidy Hutchison, the star witness for the Select Committee.
Loudermilk stated in a press release that Liz Cheney and Benny Thompson, [chair of the Select Committee], were trying to claim that my investigation had ignored the truth about January 6. They cited their Select Committee’s “tremendous amount of evidence”. “We evaluated this exact weight based upon their records and found that it was lighter than claimed.”
“Cheney says the Select Committee report is based on testimony from hundreds of witnesses whose testimony has been made public. Cheney and Thompson, however, did not release ALL transcripts. “They hid the transcripts of witnesses who directly contradicted Cassidy Hutchinson, their’star’ witness. Cheney personally obtained these transcripts.” he added.
Loudermilk published several transcripts of first-hand witnesses who contradicted Hutchison’s key claims. Former Mark Meadows’ aide is still under scrutiny for her changing testimony before the Select Committee, which produced the most viral narratives of Donald Trump as President-elect.
She testified, for example, that Trump lunged angrily at a Secret Service chauffeur when his detail refused to take him to the Capitol Building. Hutchinson was directly contradicted by first-hand witness testimony. It also suggested that the Select Committee had withheld evidence which conflicted its narrative.
