The Biden administration is continuing its anti-science crusade, which it pretends is about facts and proof.

Rachel Levine is the Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services. She has been a key figure in pushing gender-affirming treatment of children. Levine, a man by birth who identifies himself as a female, stated, “As Assistant Secretary for Health, I urge us to base our medical care on medical facts and evidence.” Gender affirming care is medical treatment. Gender-affirming healthcare is mental health care. “Gender-affirming mental healthcare is suicide prevention.”

Levine says that “decades of research” have proven that permanent gender changes that disfigure gender-confused kids into adulthood are medically required for children. Levine, who was a Pennsylvania health official at the time in 2017, tried to get a hospital that already performed gender transitions for minors to provide research that supported his worldview.

The hospital did not have any research or evidence to support “gender affirming care” at the time, even though it had performed gender transitions for minors. There were “decades’ worth” of research between now and 2017

In the past couple of years, Finland, France and Sweden have all reformed their policies on gender transition for children. In fact, Europe has done decades of research in this area. A Swedish study that spanned 30 years and a Dutch one spanning 45, found the suicide rate to be the same for transgenders before and after transitioning genders. According to a Dutch study, the suicide rate for transgender individuals is higher than the general population. This seems to be true at every stage of the transition.

In the U.S. you can also throw a rock and hit five “experts”, who will tell exactly what you need to hear. The American Academy of Pediatrics is one of the “experts”, cited by transgender activists like Levine, who exposed themselves as a political group during the COVID-19 epidemic. The AAP believes that you should give your children drugs and have them undergo surgery for anything from weight loss to being transgender. You can trust Big Pharma to take care of your kids.

The “experts”, however, also include medical facilities that benefit from gender transitions performed on minors. It’s not hard to see where they get their support.

Levine and Biden continue to cite activists as experts to support their efforts to permanently disfigure children who are unable to consent to the permanent effects that gender transitions and cross-sex hormonal treatments will have on them. The fabrication of science by partisan “experts,” does not make it “facts or medical evidence”. It only adds legitimacy to the medical disgrace the transgender movement pushes on children.
