George Soros sent his goons into my district to hold a fake townhall meeting. This is Rep. Jack Bergman. They didn’t invite me, but they used an empty chair as a prop while they attacked my support for DOGE and America First policies. If you’re tired of Soros-funded leftists attempting to sabotage America’s future, then please help me keep up the fight in Congress.

DOGE, under the leadership of billionaire Elon Musk, aims to streamline bureaucracy and cut federal spending. Despite criticism regarding potential cuts to Social Security, President Donald Trump has emphasized that his focus is on “fraud, waste, and abuse” within entitlement spending, promising to protect the core benefits of the program.

Musk has been vocal about his views on Social Security, labeling it the “biggest Ponzi scheme of all time.” In a recent interview, he pointed out that “most of the federal spending is entitlements,” with Social Security being a significant part of it. “So that’s the big one to eliminate,” Musk stated, referring to the substantial budget involved.

Chris LaCivita, a top adviser to Trump, countered the narrative of drastic cuts to Social Security, as reported by Politico. “Now, they’re not going to cut Social Security. They’re not going to cut Medicaid; they’re just not. That’s just fearmongering from the left,” LaCivita clarified.

Last month, Musk highlighted that millions of people well above the age of 100 could potentially be collecting Social Security benefits. However, the Social Security Administration (SSA) clarified that these numbers might include many individuals who are not receiving benefits but do not have a recorded date of death, as per a Newsweek report.

According to SSA’s statistics, 67 million Americans are currently receiving benefits, with about 53,000 of them being centenarians.

DOGE’s website states that as of March 11, the department has saved $115 billion through various measures including asset sales, contract and lease cancellations, fraud and improper payment elimination, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions.
