Here’s Who Was Just Named the ‘2023 AntiSemite of the Year’

Stop Antisemitism announced on Monday that Rashida Tlaib, D-MI, was named “Antisemite 2023 of the Year”. She beat out supermodel Gigi Haidid and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. In a press release, it was noted that nearly 15,000 people had voted online in the poll.

In a pinned message from the organization’s X page, a 90-second clip highlights the Squad members’ worst antisemitic moments from the last year. This was in response to Hamas’s October 7 terrorist attack against Israel. However, it also explains that there are plenty of examples of previous years. The video called Tlaib “the disgraced Congresswoman” and stated that the award was “long overdue.”

Tlaib, for example, replaced Israel in the map of Israel with “Palestine” upon her taking office. She was also banned from entering Israel because she supported the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, and Stop Antisemitism highlighted how she shared a antisemitic message as a result.

Her “shameful” antisemitic record includes defending BDS and “invoking antisemitic tropes of dual loyalty.” Ted Deutch, a fellow Democrat from Florida, criticized her antisemitic comments. She voted against the resolution last year before the attack on October 7, which was prompted by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), who claimed that Israel is a racist and apartheid country. The resolution condemned all forms xenophobia.

D.C. isn’t singing Kumbaya just yet

Quite frankly, we may have won the election, but there’s still a war to be fought and the Left isn’t resting; they’re regrouping. And now that Donald Trump is Time’s Person of the Year, you can be assured their feelings have been exacerbated. They’re not singing Kumbaya in DC just yet. In fact, they’re plotting ways to embarrass him and cause him to fail. Will you join our efforts to fight back and defeat them?. We can’t wait until January 21—that will be too late!

The video reminds the viewer of the horrific events that took place on October 7th, when 1,200 Israelis, mostly civilians, were “savagely killed” by Hamas. Hamas targeted women and children in unimaginable ways. Not even Holocaust survivors or infants were spared. Hamas also tortured, kidnapped and raped its victims. This is mentioned in the video.

Stop Antisemitism points out that Tlaib “blamed Israel for the hospital bombings” despite that they were caused by misfired terrorist missiles. Tlaib re-posted her false narrative on X and made hysterical comments outside the Capitol. Pro-Hamas agitators then occupied the Cannon House Building illegally. The false narrative was not acknowledged by Tlaib until more than a week after the original post. However, the Stop Antisemitism Video shows that the post remains up.

The situation gets worse, however, as Tlaib not only appeared in a video advertisement that featured pro-Hamas activists in Michigan, chanting, “from the River to the Sea,” but also shared it herself to criticize President Joe Biden, and then engaged in an absurd defense of the phrase. Stop Antisemitism is one of the accounts that called her out for this post. It’s still there.

After repeating false narratives, and for defending the phrase “genocidal”, the congresswoman was censured in a vote by both parties. Tlaib was the victim of her own story.

Tlaib also ignored reporters when they asked if she had condemned the beheadings of babies and laughed at anyone who attempted to convince her to talk about her false narratives.

Last May, her antisemitism was on full display when she hosted an event referring to Israel’s founding in the context of a “Nakba” or “catastrophe,” at around the 75th anniversary. This event was made possible by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, in the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, which Sanders chairs. Bill Cassidy, the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education Labor and Pensions (HELP), expressed his outrage. Sanders took action after Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R – CA) blocked the Capitol event.

Tlaib’s title is well-earned. It may seem shocking that a U.S. Congresswoman could beat out the leader of Hamas. She was unapologetic and bold about her anti Israel stance even before the October 7 attacks.

This achievement has been long overdue, as the video shows.
